Ski View Chalet - In Town - New Property - Pet Friendly

You can't beat the Red River Ski Resort views from this luxury cabin located just steps to Main Street and the River. In the winter you can watch the torchlight parade right from the front porch!

During the summer, enjoy the river across the road or s'mores around a fire pit in the large corner lot.

This custom home features beautiful architectural details, finishes, luxury furnishings and decor to make your visit unforgettable. You will love the open floor plan, vaulted aspen ceilings and floor to ceiling windows with wonderful ski slope views.

Watch the sunset over the mountains or the skiers coming down the slopes while snuggling up next to the stunning floor to ceiling river rock fireplace or just relax in the gorgeous living room with flat screen HDTV and DVD player.

Step out on the wrap-around deck and take in the scenery from the adorable rocking or fish chairs. We also have a large gas grill for cookouts. No traffic on this peaceful corner and the yard is huge with plenty of room for outdoor fun. Just 50 steps out the front door is the Red River. Fish, have a picnic, feed the ducks or just relax and listen to the soothing water as it flows to the Rio Grande.

$75 per pet/2 pet max, charged separately by the property management company after booking.

It was fine for pets. It would have been nice to have a small fenced area outside for them. The kitchen had lots of cooking utensils etc. but it was totally unorganized and the front of one of the drawers was broken. The carpet in the primary bedroom was nasty and there was no instruction on how to use the fireplace in the primary bedroom. There was a hazardous broken tile on the staircase and a loose board right in front of the front door, both tripping hazards. The place was disappointing in that it was not nearly as nice as described on the website. Red River itself, however, was as wonderful as usual!

Be aware that only four of the many reviews on this house are from the past year. Many are from several years ago. I don’t know how long the current management company has had this home, but I would be cautious of expecting the things in the older reviews such as a great welcome basket or a NYE treat. It is definitely more bare essentials. Also know that the pictures are not updated. Some of the furniture items shown in the listing are no longer there. The large sofa in living room picture has been replaced. It appears to be a pull out but it is quite old, rickety and thin. We also did not find bedding for it. The twin cot/lounge shown in the loft in the pictures is not there and none of the sofas would be fit for sleeping on. As other reviewers have stated there are three functional beds. So if you have 6 people willing to sleep in pairs you are covered. More than that you’ll have to compromise. Our youngest son slept in bed with us. There is plenty of room in the loft for rollaways, blow up mattresses, etc., but they are not provided. I would not rent this home if you plan to cook. I know this won’t apply to everyone, but the oven is horrible and the kitchen is not well-appointed. I never found a decent oven mit and other kitchen items are either missing or just hard to find as the kitchen drawers are quite disorganized. None of the appliances are impressive. For the price, I would look elsewhere.

Excellent location . Says sleeps 8 . Missing a twin bed! We had 7. The sofa bed was awful! Needs a single bed in loft! Would stay again if conditions are met .

Family reunion

Cabin worked out great. Normally wouldn’t rent in town because of the noise. ATVs have overtaken the town. The cabin was very clean and suited all of our families needs. If you need a place in town I would recommend this cabin. Only issue I have is with cleaning up after your pet policy. Please don’t misunderstand, we always pick after our dogs. But when every dog in the neighborhood can walk through your yard to take care business. Doesn’t seem like a fair policy

Fantastic Fourth of July in the natural air conditioning of Red River, New Mexico

Great views on the porch! One block off main and one block from the city ponds. The parade was less than 100 yards from the doorstep. Great visit!

This cabin never disappoints. This is the second time we have stayed here. The cabin is always clean and organized. Plenty of space for a big family or group of friends. The location is perfect. The property is managed by a very friendly and helpful people. We will continue to rent this cabin for our stays in Red River.

Great House! Ver Spacious with awesome views of the Mountain

The house was a bit dated but nice and the views of the mountain were excellent! It fit my family of 5 plus brother and sister-in-law just fine and we all had a great time. If I could change just one thing about the house, I'd love to see them add a bunk bed to the loft area, if they did it would be an ideal setup for families with kids!!

ATV trip 2022

Property was very nice and had everything we needed. Had a problem with the propane grill on the first day. Within the hour two polite young maintenance guys came out to fix the burners and left a charcoal grill just in case. Thanks to these guys we were able to have our delicious grilled ribeyes. We would stay here again.

The PERFECT location in Red River!

This beautiful home has the PERFECT location in Red River. Just a block off the main street, it is a quiet and relaxing location – yet so easy to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Parking is very easy – even for large vehicles. The view of the main ski lift on the mountain is wonderful. We spent many hours on the porch just enjoying the beautiful weather, listening to the relaxing sound of the aspen trees on the property and watching all the wonderful wildlife visitors – including deer, hummingbirds and beautiful Steller’s Jays. The layout of this home is so open and inviting. The large windows in the living room allow you to enjoy the beautiful views. The casement windows and screen doors throughout the home allow you to let the cool, mountain breezes circulate throughout the house. The primary bedroom’s kiva-style fireplace is gorgeous. The woodwork throughout this home is exceptional and really creates a cozy and authentic feeling in the house. The loft area and two bedrooms upstairs is great for families traveling with children. The house was immaculately clean. Beds and linen were high-quality and comfortable. Internet speed and reliability was more than adequate for multiple streaming devices and remote working. The property management company was very helpful and responsive. Check-in and check-out processes were quick and easy. This home truly allows you the opportunity to relax and feel at home while still enjoying everything Red River has to offer. We would definitely stay in this home again when returning to Red River!

Convenient location, comfy cabin!

Everything was great. The cabin was very comfortable and had room for our family of five to stretch out and relax. It does not have air conditioning so beware for the summer months. We were here in June and didn’t spend time in the cabin during the day, but if you are a hot body temp person like my husband, you may get uncomfortable. This is not a luxury cabin but it was a great home base for us to explore everything Red River has to offer!

Perfect for a family ski weekend

Fabulous at first check in they had music playing very nice intro and loved the welcome treat basket. House is close to ski hill we walked back for lunch on the days there was no parking. The house was a perfect base. Spacious enough for 2 families but perfect for our larger one. Kitchen well stocked. Water was hot in the bathrooms my friends who rented a house close had very little hot water so this was a plus on cold winter day. Overall great weekend.

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, with beautiful views of the mountains. It is in walking distance from many of the shops and restaurants. They even delivered a little "New Year's Eve" package to us, which was a nice touch. It says that it sleeps 9, but be aware of the bed situation if you plan to bring that many people. There are 3 beds, a pull out sofa, and the loft bed was not fit to sleep on if you ask me. It worked out fine for us, but it would have been tricky with 9. We prefer not to use a the pull out feature of the sofa. So, this would be ideal for 6 people, sharing 3 beds. Overall, it was a great place to stay, and I would come back and recommend this to others.
