COZY DECK CABIN : Peaceful Beauty Nestled In The Mountains

The Cabin: During summer its relaxing to sit out on deck around firepit. During winter you can enjoy hottub and watch the snow fall. During winter 4 wheel drive is a must and may require chains if snow gets bad. During winter there is lots of snow that accumulates on deck and may not be usuable. As you enter the 2,230 square-foot log home, you will find that the large Great Room will capture your imagination the moment you walk in the door. The large rock fireplace will warm your heart, your soul and your body.

The new 55 'flat screen TV located in the Great Room will keep you entertained when you are in the mood to kick-back,put your feet up and relax. All of the furniture pieces were designed for comfort and beauty in mind. There are a number of DVD's available for your entertainment.

The adjoining kitchen is equipped with every appliance and accessory you might need. The gas kitchen stove is a high-quality Viking range and oven with a range-top grill , freezer/refrigerator. You will find an additional smaller freezer nearby, as well as an automatic dishwasher, coffee maker and other appliances. The dishes, silverware, cups, and glasses will accommodate 10-12 people. The large dining table is great for eating, entertaining and escecially for playing games such as card games dominios and a host of other games and puzzles.

BEDROOMS:

The Master Bedroom is also quite spacious and contains a beautiful log, king-sized bed with a very comfortable mattress. It is a welcome retreat after a full day of fun. All bed linens are provided. A new 40' flat screened TV is conveniently located for easy viewing from the bed. There is a washer and dryer if needed during your stay next to Master Bath. The Master Bath has a tub shower combo as well as two sinks and mirrors. All towels, wash cloths are provided.

The large Guest Bedroom is a lovely, large room with a king-sized bed and other unique pieces of furniture and decorations. For extra convenience we recently installed a private sink in the bedroom. There is also a fair-sized walk-in closet in that room.

The smaller Guest Bedroom with its log bunk beds is great for kids of all ages. The bottom bed has full sized mattress that can easily accommodate two adults and the top bed has a twin size mattress. This room contains a log desk as well.

Between the two guest bedrooms is another bathroom, which contains a stand-up shower with a small bathtub for children to use if needed. There are double sinks and other necessary amenities.

OUTDOOR AREAS:

After familiarizing yourself with the cabin, it is time to explore the outdoor area. Be aware that it is not unusual to see a small group of deer just casually grazing and roaming the property as if it were their own.

From the Great Room, please use either of the doors located on the wall bordering the kitchen. Turn to your left and head over to the log swing, as you are walking note the fire pit to the right for bonfires at night and in the background a small log cabin for the children to play in. By the time you reach the log swing, if not already, you will hear the sound and be able to see the river waters running at the bottom of a sloping incline. You will also be able to see the beauty of the nearby pond surrounding by high mountains that will reach out and touch your soul.

The deck that runs along the back side of the house also provides you with additional lovely views and take you to the opposite side of the cabin where a larger deck nestles up against the cabin's entry door. If you turn to your right and go down the 3 or 4 steps and out straight across the yard, then look to your right again, you will find a sign indicating the location of a staircase, which will take you to the river that runs along the edge of the property. In winter months 4 wheel drive is a must due to snow accumulation even with roads being maintained.

There is a new propane barbeque available for your grilling pleasure on the north-west deck. A number of outdoor furniture pieces, including as enjoyable log-built swinging bench, mentioned previously, are all available for your enjoyment. There is a very nice picnic table with attached benches on the deck closest to the kitchen as well as a larger picnic table on the ground on the opposite side of the home.

For those who love 'around the camp fire experiences' there is a good sized fire pit with decorative metal guard. There are handmade wooden benches provided. However, if more comfort is desired, feel free to move some of the other outdoor chairs closer to the fire. Please check with local Fire Department to be sure fires are allowed at the time. There are usually signs entering and exiting the main road going thru Red River that indicate the approval level of fire usage. In winter months 4 wheel drive is a must to get to cabin even with roads maintained. Gets lots of snow in that area.
