"Mostly good for a Howard Johnsons. Nothing to set apart either good or bad experience wise. Mostly middle of the road. Biggest issues were our door key cards stopped working everyday. Had to either get new keys or have them reset at least 5 times. The bathroom fixtures were also loose."

"The hotel is historic and beautiful. The family that runs it is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is decent and on site. We rented a suite and it was very spacious. The kitchen cabinets were empty and we couldn’t get wine glasses from the restaurant to enjoy the bottle of wine we brought ..."

Peaks of Otter Lodge
"Love this area!! They are very limited in staff for dining & housekeeping. Be prepared to wait, be out of menu items, persist in getting towels, rooms not ready after you walk in to them. But the waitress, bartenders are wonderful yet stretched thin"

"My stay at the Woodland Cottage was very comfortable. It had everything that I needed. You won’t go wrong if you stay there. I visit Buena Vista often. I will definitely go back!"
