- NOTE: Your safety matters. This property features 3 exterior security cameras, located above the parking area, north deck and base of the driveway, all facing outward. They do not look into interior spaces
- NOTE: The 2-story home offers step-free entry from the lower parking lot via a steep ramped pathway. Please note that the slope is steeper than ADA-compliant ramps and may require strong assistance for wheelchair access. A cart is also available near the front door to help carry luggage and groceries with the ramped pathway. Entry from the upper parking lot requires the use of 13 large stone steps

This is a very nice cabin. Clean and plenty of living space inside with beautiful suroundings outside. Saw a cow moose and her calf right next to the cabin as well as two young buck deer a day later.

This property is everything described and more. It is beautifully furnished and every amenity provided. The game room kept all the kids busy. We enjoyed the wildlife...mama moose and baby, a couple deer, a marmot who enjoyed sunning himself on a boulder right outside the front deck, and hummingbirds. A perfect way to celebrate our anniversary with the family!

Beautiful House

We enjoyed the house very much. Super clean, and very well stocked in the kitchen which is great. The steps leading to it need a little attention, but otherwise is was lovely. I highly recommend it

A beautiful HOME for a family stay! Well outfitted and comfortable. Room for our family of 7 to spread out. My grandsons loved the basement game room and exploring nearby Gnome Road. We would definitely rent again for a family group. Tip: be sure and unload at the bottom driveway. We missed it at first. Lots of stairs and steps both inside and outside.

Fabulous Family Vacation

The check-in was super easy and convenient for us as well as the communication with the manager. The fully stocked kitchen was the best and super handy to have especially since the house is located an hour from a town. We traveled with an infant and it was so nice to have supplied items for her, very family friendly. The game room was used many nights by all our family as well as the supplied puzzles, we loved spending quality family time together. This house will comfortably fit more people than the description says.

Beautiful!! Loved everything about it. It was perfect for our family of 9! Surrounded by gorgeous evergreens and aspens! Our grandkids loved the pool and ping pong tables and exploring all around the property!

Red Feather Lakes Moose Hollow delight

We stayed in this beautiful home over Labor Day and were delighted with the log construction and private location of this home. Comfortable beds with a lower level rec room and open concept kitchen to living room made our stay with 6 adults and 4 kids enjoyable. The pictures on line were accurate. We will be back to enjoy this home.

Magic Christmas!

This was a magic Christmas experience that we enjoyed. It was just the perfect Christmas cabin experience that my daughters dreamed of. We enjoyed every part of it. I guess just the game room items need some new replacement.

Bittersweet trip

Came to Red Feathers as a meeting point to spread some of our love ones ashes in WY. Cabin was wonderful. My only negative thing I could say is if you have ant elderly companions in your group they may have a hard time with steps leading down to house. I was lucky have grandsons to help, but over all you couldn’t find a better setting and awesome cabin.

Wonderful Moose Hollow Retreat Cabin

This cabin is great! The kitchen supplies (plates, silverware, pots/pans), downstairs games (ping pong, pool table, fussball), and the beautiful Christmas decorations were so nice! The highlight of our trip was discovering Roosevelt National Forest - Dowdy Lake’s Frog Pond Trail. We had a beautiful sunny day for that easy hike. The stars at night were amazing (we wished we would have spotted Moose but only saw wild turkeys, chipmunks, and rabbits). Many warm memories were made.

Great Place. As advertised.

Beautiful house. Quite remote. We saw 3 moose, 3 deer and a bear right beside the house. Path to house would not be good for older people. Also, may be tricky at night.

Great get away!!

We enjoyed the cabin very much. The house was clean and spacious. We had 3 families (10 total people) and never felt cramped. The loft with the bedroom, sitting area/TV and bathroom was convenient. The basement/entertainment room was AWESOME. Pool table, ping pong, TV and fusball was a lot of fun. The main level was wonderful. My only reason for not giving this property 5 stars was that there was not a TV on the main level. Our plan was to spend the weekend enjoying the outdoors and watching football. The main level is so beautiful, outstanding views and wide open. Having a TV on the main level would have given everyone a chance to hang out, eat and watch football. Thanks for a great getaway!Jeoff

truly wonderful

This is a wonderful custom home that was built with great thoughtfulness to take advantage of an incredible site - nestled in the canopy of a mature aspen grove, tucked in the cleft of granite boulders. The home is a real family getaway and not "just a short term rental" which means the furnishings are extensive and high quality. While we are from Colorado, we still were very impressed by this location. We didn't want to leave the shady deck and our young kids endlessly loved exploring and climbing on the rocks (though a few bandaids were issued). An excellent base camp - bring your own food so you can cook and maximize your time in this wonderful place. The TV with Disney+ was handy (though one day the internet was spotty and we resorted to a tablet). The 6-person custom air hockey table was a lot of fun too! Tons of kids books were awesome for bedtimes, and there were also kids toys in the game room (lincoln logs, jenga, puzzles). While we didn't get to see any moose during our 3 night stay, we did have some excitement when a bear broke into one of the dumpsters to get at some of our trash the night before we left. We would love to come back again in the future.

Secluded and SPACIOUS!

An amazingly spacious cabin, soaring cathedral ceilings and lots of natural light with huge windows. The cabin was extremely clean, updated and everything we needed was already there, including washer and dryer; we didn’t have to bring any dirty laundry home with us! We cooked all of our meals as there was ample cookware and dishes. There was plenty of space for seating our two large families. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning, it was so peaceful with the sound of the babbling brook. The kids enjoyed hiking around the property during the day and plenty for them to be entertained at night with ping pong, pool table, foosball table, and WiFi! Lakes for fishing were just a short drive away as well as a small supermarket. I have absolutely nothing negative to stay about this property and the property manager was amazing as well and very responsive to our questions. I recommend this to anyone wanting a getaway from the hustle and bustle. It was just what we needed!!

Gorgeous property in an idyllic setting.

We loved your home and found it to be very comfortable and ideal for our needs. The ping pong, pool and foosball made for lots of fun and we loved watching old family movies on your VCR.. One morning we woke up it was misty and it was so gorgeous out the front window it took my breath away!

Great getaway in a beautiful lake region

My friends and I really enjoyed Moose Hollow Retreat for its remote setting and its rustic cabin charm. Having 5 bedrooms was really nice and all of the beds were reported to be very comfy. Our only concern was that the internet connection was spotty at times but the landlord was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. I would definitely return to this rental property again. Next time, we'll remember to bring inflatable kayaks and paddle boards for the lake since they don't rent them at Dowdy Lake.

Great place

Overall- Terrific. The game room is wonderful…we used it a lot. Only a few things….There was only a half roll of toilet paper in each bathroom with no extra rolls; the bear proof trash can was impossible to open. We never figured it out until the cleaning people came as we were leaving. (Seems to be human proof as well as bear proof! :) These few things were not important and we had a terrific time. We will recommend it to our friends.

Multigenerational vacation

Perfect space for multigenerational vacation. Places to gather and also spread out. Also the ping pong, foosball, and pool tables were a big hit.
