"The pub is situated in peaceful countryside and is in a great location. The proprietors were so welcoming and kind, helping me to my room with my luggage. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated and the bathroom clean with nice toiletries. The food in the pub was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would certainly stay there again if I’m in the area."

"The cottage is extremely well kitted out, with a top class tea room and small general store in the village, just 40 metres away. There's no garden but enough room to sit outside at the front and have an evening drink. We didn't try the pub but it's worth looking at the reviews for it 😊 Fantastic walking from the door, and if the weather is good you can even swim in the river across the fields."

"Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent. "Charming, cosy cottage with everything we needed. We felt very at home and the location gave us exactly what we were looking for in the Dales. "

"What a fantastic place to stay , the cottage was perfect , very comfortable and felt just right .had everything we needed for our stay. Bed comfy and clean loved the way you slept downstairs and the views breathtaking. Lots of information and maps so perfect for us . No garden for four legged friend but walks just outside . We did keep our dog on lead due lambs and nesting birds . Fantastic pub 2 minute walk away . Will be going back without a doubt . Perfect for us ."
