Kookaburra Kottage is a two bedroom luxury chalet situated in the beautiful Ravensbourne Mountain Retreat. Tranquil, leafy, fresh away from the stress of the city.
You’ll love my place because of the privacy, leafy garden, cosy log fire in winter the comfy bedrooms (one with a with spa bath looking over the garden) and luxury house appointments.
Self contained kitchen, generous lounge area, or simply sit on the veranda and cook on the BBQ. Good for a couples getaway or friends to stay
The Space:
You are situated on the cool green Great Dividing Range escarpment at 2400 feet above sea level. With amazing views of the Brisbane Valley below and as far south as New South Wales.
Or simply stay in and enjoy the log fire in winter on misty days or a bbq on the veranda in Summer
Unspoilt, tranquil and relaxing. Only a short drive to cafes, Pubs and bistros for breakfast lunch or dinner.
We are a 10 minute drive from pretty Lake Cressbrook and Hampton Visitors Centre. Within 20 minutes Discover Crows Nest with its cafes and quaint country vibe , great coffee, a 5 star eatery - Myrtille, and local art & crafts, supermarket, local pub and Village square .
Why not try out the Pechey Gin Distillery for local spirits and great characters, or discover the Crows Nest National Park and waterfall.
Guest Access:
You will have the whole chalet to yourselves. Use one or two bedrooms (up to 4 people in total) plus all linen and accessories and tea and coffee included. Simply take a walk along the paved roads around the estate and enjoy the native birds, leafy greenery and long range valley views,
The Neighborhood:

Right next door is the unspoilt Ravensbourne National park with nature walks, bbqs, and Great views from Beutel's Lookout With amazing views of the Brisbane Valley below and as far south as New South Wales.
Getting Around:
You will arrive here by car and parking on site is free. You will need a car to get around. One of the benefits is seclusion, however you will need to get here and around. Most shops, facilities and attractions are 10 - 40 minutes drive outside the Retreat.
Other Things to Note:
There are no pets allowed in the houses or Retreat to protect wildlife nearby and reduce the need for fencing.
Interaction with Guests:
