"We had an amazing time,the surroundings are just incredible,so beautiful and peaceful.My family really enjoyed the barn and we played board games,lit a fire which was fabulous.The option to BBQ also.We had such fun.Our huts were just gorgeous,everything was spotlessly clean,the bed was so comfortable and the bedding was to a very high standard.We took a stroll through the meadow and had a turn in the paddle boat on the the water on the grounds,so much fun.The hosts really take great care of this...

"Sauberes Zimmer, allerdings war der Teppich etwas verdreckt bzw. in die Jahre gekommen. Wir wurden allerdings sehr freundlich empfangen und hatten eine gute Nacht. Auch das angeschlossene Restaurant und die Bar fanden wir sehr schön."

"Rough rural property. Shower didn’t work and bathtub slippery and risky for seniors. Beds clean and comfortable and terrace with a lovely view of cow pasture, lots of swallows and birdsong. So — mixed. The Rising Sun restaurant connected was very good and inexpensive."

"Overall stay was good. Room was very clean and the staff were friendly. No early checkin was available, so I had to wait nearly 3 hours to get my room. Parking is terrible for this place. Basically, a dirt parking lot. Very difficult to find a spot. Also, paid about $30 dollars for the fish and chips. TERRIBLE. Peas were nearly cold and poor quality fish. Would not eat there again but I would stay there for location and cleanliness."

"As there isn’t on-site parking, we worried about where to put the car. No problem at all - directly across the small road and next to the hotel are parking places, and the hotel validates the parking (it is free to you, the guest). The room we stayed in was a good size, had a great bathroom and shower, and a comfortable bed. "The only thing we can complain about is that we couldn’t stay forever with Cathy! The place is much better than expected (really, much better). Super well equipped, comfortable, clean, and with marvelous decoration. The area where the house is located is absolutely stunning. And of course, we must mention Cathy again, she is incredibly nice, kind, intelligent, talkative, and made our one-night stay feel like being with family. "Great little locally owned place. The food was good. The pub was great. Friendly locals gathered as well as fellow travelers. Had a great time and really enjoyed staying at the hotel so much, we decided to stay another night. The staff was also very accommodating where they could be, although we did have a few issues. We had some trouble with no heat in our room the first night. The staff was quick to respond to turn it on that evening; however, it didn't get/stay on, so it never warmed up, and...

"A great spot to stay just outside Kilkenny. The attached restaurant had a fun vibe and great food. The bed was incredibly comfortable — after two weeks of hotel hopping around Ireland, this was our best sleep. Staff were easygoing and friendly to chat with. Breakfast was more limited than other stays, but still met our needs. Overall, a lovely and relaxing stay."
