Beautiful Flat in Rapallo, Rapallo, Italy

This contemporary apartment is on the first floor of a residential block on the hills above the Gulf of Tigullio and the charming port of Rapallo. It sleeps 2 adults and 2 children and is the perfect option for a holiday on the glamorous Italian Riviera.

Just 2-minutes from the coast, the apartment’s decor is stylish and modern. The open-plan living space is on the corner of the building so full of light, thanks to double-aspect windows. Glass doors open onto a small balcony with a small table and chairs where guests can enjoy the lush surroundings. Inside, there is a sofa, flat-screen TV and a pine dining table for 4. Next to this is a vibrant blue fitted kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave and a fridge/freezer.

Location
Rapallo is less known than Portofino, its famous neighbour, but has an illustrious past, which visitors can see in the charming sea-front villas, bars, restaurants and promenades. This beautiful vintage resort is a convenient base to explore the surrounding area. The historic heart of the town is a 15-minute walk from the building. There are regular boat services between the Porto Carlo Riva (6 minutes drive) and towns along the coast including Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure and the Cinque Terre.

There is a lot to do out on the water. The sea is only a 5-minute walk away. Visitors can hire a boat, paddleboard or kayak. The town’s beaches are blessed with pristine clear seas, ideal for snorkelling or scuba diving.

Rapallo’s weekly market, every Thursday, sells everything from the freshest local produce, to clothes and antiques. Otherwise, there are supermarkets and smaller grocery stores around the town.

Away from the beach, visitors will find some spectacular hiking routes nearby on the promontory between Rapallo and Portofino. Portofino is a 2-hour walk along the spectacular coast. Alternatively, the Abbey of San Fruttoso (3 hours, 25-minute walk) makes a lovely day trip. The abbey can only be reached by boat or on foot. Visitors can soak up the atmosphere of this peaceful spot.

Genova’s International Airport is just a 45-minute drive from the apartment.
