"We really enjoyed our 2-day stay here. April is such a great host. Great communication. She addressed our questions promptly. She was so sweet to get life jackets for us since I asked about canoe other reviewer mentioned. We found everything we need and more except wifi and phone/text coverage. No coverage ended up to be the blessing for us with my 2 college kids. "The house worked well for our group - two couples and three kiddos. It had everything we needed for cooking in and all the spaces to relax in and out. We rented a pontoon boat which we appreciated docking at the rental for making exploring voyageurs national park easy. We really enjoyed the trip and the cabin was great! "

"It's not the taj mahal, and neither is the price. Very utilitarian for the 5 of us for the nights we stayed. If you are a stay inside family, this is not for that. It's simple, it's clean, pricing is on point. I have stayed in hotels and motels all over the country, and this is the higher end of bargain price quality. We definitely appreciated our stay here, and will be staying again in the future! "

"The apartment was lovely. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed, bathroom was perfect, living area was very comfortable and the convenience of a washer and dryer was wonderful since we were traveling for a few days before our arrival. Our hostess was very welcoming and told us about the area. She invited us to enjoy the dock at the water side and to ring the school bell on our way down. "

"Bring your food and your clothes. Everything else is here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. This was kind of a fishing/family get-together. See photos"

"Loved the cabin with the two bedrooms & bathroom great shower! Having the separate bunkhouse for our daughter’s family with little kids was perfect. The space around the property is ideal to have campfires, play games & set up kids swings. Nice beach & dock but lots of weeds. My favorite place is the swing overlooking the lake for reading & quiet time!"

"The bathroom was the biggest problem with mold and moldy black baseboards coming apart at the base molding. (No pun intended.) The hot water heater was literally next to the bed, covered in carpeting with loose screws on top. The location was misrepresented and not in the park or even in a wooded area, but on an atrial street in a neighborhood."

"Steve was a great host and the unit is small but great for 6 people- great for an area where our goal was to spend lots of time outside. Very close to Rainy Lake Visitors Center in Voyageurs and on the shores of Rainy Lake itself. We used the fire pit on the property for s'mores. Steve is very communicative, responsive to requests, and also has recommendations for area activities and dining."
