Hekla Cabin 1 volcano and glacier slope

Welcome to the beautiful countryside in South Iceland! :D

Stay in our cozy cabin in the south, located little over an hour from Reykjavík in a nice rural setting. 1 minute from Road 1.

Inside the cabin there are 2 single beds, convertible sofa bed, bathroom with a toilet and a shower and kitchen.

Good for a couple, 2 couples or 2 adults with 2 children.
Infant beds and baby chairs are available if requested.

In the summer you can see horses, cows and sheep over the fence, but we are farmers and raise all of these animals. In the winter you can go out on the terrace and see the northern lights.
To find the house it is best for you to put in Hekla Cabin into your Map Application but the cabin is by road nr. 26, one minute driving from road nr. 1.
In the summer it is ideal to stay at Hekla Cabin for those that are planning to visit areas such as Landmannahellir, Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, Friðland að Fjallabaki, Golden Circle, Secret Lagoon, Eyjafjallajökull, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and Vík since the cabin is located centrally in the south part of Iceland. Driving to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon takes you about 3,5 hours from Hekla Cabin. You can send us questions about all of these places while you book. We try to help you out as much as we can. If you have any questions regarding the cabin, the area around or anything else, don’t hesitate to be in touch.

We are offering newly built house, it's 30 square meters and with patio. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking with all the associated equipment such as stove, refrigerator, coffee machine etc.

You have the entire cabin to yourself. Parking area is free.

The Cabin is in the middle of great places to visit in the South and only 1 minutes from the main road number 1. If you want to see the Golden circle, Seljalandsfoss, Skógarfoss, Vestmannaeyjar, Eyjafjallajökul, Hekla, Landmannalaugar, Vik, Dyrhólaey than this is a great place to stay.

In the winter time from September to March you can see the beautiful northern lights. In the neighbourhood are 2 swimming pools one in Laugaland only 3 min driving and the other one in Hella 10 min. driving. Hekla Cabin is not far away from the Secret Lagoon, Golden Circle, Landmannalaugar, Black beach.

There is a public transportation in Hella 10 min. driving distance from the cabin that takes you to Þórsmörk, Landmannalaugar, Black beach, Golden Circle and lot of other places.
