A family-run business with a rich history: Haus Waldrast has been in the family for several generations. Katarina and Josef Maier built the house in 1948. Initially, it served as the headquarters for a trucking company. Starting in 1975, the building was converted into a guesthouse offering breakfast, and additional guest rooms were added as early as 1977. From 1984 to 2015, Irmgard and Josef Maier ran the property. In 2015, Kerstin and Josef Maier Jr. took over the family business. As part of this transition, the former guest rooms were renovated and converted into vacation apartments. Today, the Maier family welcomes guests to four vacation apartments, continuing the legacy of Haus Waldrast in Ramsau. Whether it’s a hiking vacation, a family vacation, or a relaxing getaway in the mountains: Haus Waldrast offers you personalized accommodations in Ramsau and serves as a starting point for adventures in the Berchtesgadener Land region.
