It's very reasonably priced, rooms are nice and spacious, and it's near Duke University. It isn't in a very walkable area, but not much in Raleigh is.

The tiles in the elevator were broken. There is no daily housekeeping. The road adjacent is torn up and impassable. Hotel is new. Generic. Had a stale smoky smell. Convenient to Duke and downtown. Easy to the airport. Breakfast was adequate. Coffee was good.

I checked in the property with no issues. I ran into a problem with the refrigerator not working in the room. I was then transferred to another room where I had to haul all of my belongings into another room late in the evening. My daughter slept in one of the beds in the secondary room and woke up in the middle of the night with severe rashes on her arms and legs. I talked to the front desk attendant and he told me to speak to the manager who will arrive at 7am the next day. When I went to the front desk to speak to the manager I was told he was not in town for the day and "may get in town" in the afternoon. I advised them I will be checking out this morning because of a scheduled appointment. I was given a business card with a number on it to call the manager. I called the number and it was the front desk phone number. I called the hotel later that day to speak to the manager and the phone rang for 5 mins and there was no pick-up. I have to escalate this issue because it was a major inconvenience and it offset my plans for the day.

Good Morning Mr. Clinton,I spoke with both of my guest service agents that you interacted with during your stay and my leadership and maintenance team including myself followed up with all of your complaints. Room 415 the refrigerator was indeed working because my maintenance technician, the front office manager and myself check it as well. In regards to your daughter receiving rashes my guest services agents informed me you said that it was bed bugs so I asked her did the guest see any bed bugs or was it just speculation and it was stated that you didn't see anything so as a result of the information given to me and with no one being sure I called terminix with whom the property has a contract with and they did a thorough inspection and turned the room upside down and said that we indeed have no sign of bed bugs in that particular room or this property. I am not sure what caused this issue with your daughter but it was not that. As far as you being able to directly contact me my associates did the correct thing by giving you my card because I was not available at the property at the time. My direct cell phone number is not on my business card it is the number to the property and when you call they guest service agent transfers you over to myself or the front office manager.

There was all kinds of construction going on around the property. Horrible!!! Difficult to get to the hotel because many of the roads were closed. Other than that, the accommodations were great!

I liked the ability to walk to downtown from the hotel property. It is a little sketchy walking on the sidewalk across from the property but during daylight hours I felt secure. The construction going on around the property makes it difficult getting in and out with a vehicle. Other than that, the hotel was very quiet-no slamming doors as people came and went. The breakfast was always well-tended with plenty of food served in a cleanly manner. The desk staff greeted me when leaving and when returning. I appreciated being recognized.

Misleading description?
Close proximity to DPAC and Durham Bulls events. Be aware that the "City View" is actually a view of government subsidized housing that backs up to this property. I read that there was self parking, and then received an emailed copy of my bill that showed a $10/night fee for such. This bit of information was buried under one of the "see more" links, so it caught me by surprise. You park outside in a lot and have to put a tag in your window... not a secured parking deck. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was friendly.

We only stayed overnight but the staff were super friendly and hospitable even with it being Christmas Eve. They have a complimentary breakfast which was good and the rooms are beautiful and clean. Will definitely stay again if in that area.

A crazy crackhead tried to sneak in the build after hrs watching for me to use my key card. When I got my bill I seen they charged me 10$ for parking without giving me a option. Businesses that give you surprise charges will never get my business again.

Overall it was a very nice place to stay. The food could have been better. Also the advertising for this hotel stated they had a pool which they didn’t have.
