The Brazos River is a short walk or quick car ride from the cabin. Riverside patio provides access to river for fishing, and when the river is low (i.e. not raging) there is access to a beach - ideal for children to play in the water, look for fossils and arrowheads.

Property is close to historic Glen Rose, Dinosaur Valley State Park and Fossil Rim Wildlife Preserve. It was exactly what we were looking for, peaceful, quiet and very close to the river. We had the river all to ourselves! The Myers are great hosts, very friendly and close by. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Stay in a perfect cabin!

The name of the cabin, Hillside, definitely fit the description. This perfect cabin was on the hillside going up to the top of the hill. We were secluded enough to enjoy the tranquility, but too secluded to know the property managers were looking out for us. The property managers did not over promise but met our expectations regarding the property perfectly!

Rustic cabin in Dino land

The rustic Hillside cabin is located a few miles off the beaten path, yet close enough to Glen Rose to easily drive to nearby attractions. Upon arrival, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were kind and easy to communicate with. The setting is serene and peaceful. One thing to be aware of is that the cabin is a bit small - it is not spacious on the inside but there is plenty of room to explore outside. We had a lovely time.

Great little cabin in Rainbow

We went to the area for spring break to visit Dinosaur Valley State Park. We chose this little cabin for our family as it was just the right size for us and our two boys. The accommodations were nice. It worked well for us as it was a place to stay, cook, and shower. We enjoyed the fire pit and a hike up the hill to the swings. Overall, this property worked for what we needed for an our short stay for spring break. Suggestions: We brought items to grill but the gas grill wasnā€™t usable as it was missing the heat plates to distribute the flame. We used the oven instead.

Cozy and quit

Place had smell at first not sure if musty or whatWiFi listed but didnā€™t work. Even the Tv kept buffering. Had Cell Phone svc but not Internet. Lake cabin type feel /decor. Has what you need but not upscale Pan was dirty. Found old waffles still in toaster. Needs hooks or shelf with hooks in bedroomNeed small table on other side of bed (for eye glasses/etc) Thank you for the farm fresh eggs.

Cozy cabin tucked in the country

Clean cabin area for a couple or small family get away. Fully functional kitchen with utensils and cookware. Even has a washer and dryer that can be used on the property. Included soap and shampoo for showers as well as a great interary for guiding you on the property and location of summer activities activities

Grands enjoyed the adventure

Short trip with grands who thoroughly enjoyed the area. Rocks, river, dinosaurs. Convenient to activities but secluded and quiet for down time. We didn't cook, other than hot dog on the fire pit so kitchenwas fine for coffee and snacks. A little confusion at check in but no big deal and all handled well. thanks!

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was very peaceful and tranquil. It was clean and nice. The only thing that went wrong was the ceiling fan and light in the bedroom did not work. other than, it was very pleasant.

Best 4 day Mini Vacation

We enjoyed our little cozy cabin. Was very clean and had great water pressure .Bed was very comfortable and air conditioner was very cold considering it was extremely hot outside.We went to river on the property hunting for cool river rocks also my husband went fishing he had fun.We really enjoyed visiting with Mr Stan he was so nice and even brought us fresh eggs. We will definitely be back during cooler months next time..

Very Quaint

Nice location, away from town. The cabin was nice and cool inside with some lovely sunflowers out front. Took us a while to find the dumpster for the trash but once we found it, we didnā€™t have any other issues. Great place and recommend staying here.

Where's the River????

According to the listing: 1 bedroom cabin, sleeps four. Pet friendly*. Property is on Brazos River. It is not on the river and nowhere near the river. When I commented to the owner about that she wondered why everyone thought it was on the River? I parked close the the front of the cabin to unload my groceries and bags and was reprimanded by the male owner ( I guess that's who he was as he never identified himself) that that was not the parking spot and pointed out the correct one. I stated that I would move it after I unloaded and he started his ride and drove off. Never had any more interaction with the owners - thank goodness. I won't be coming back even though cabin itself was nice.

Peaceful Getaway

After a couple of years of health issues and a ling school year this was the perfect place to chill. Out in the country ,but close enough for shopping, Granbury Opera House to see Newsies, dinner and of course shopping. Perfect for lazy mornings and afternoon naps. I want to come back and bring our basset to roam the property.

Cabin get a way is our therapy.

My best friend and I had 2 days of peace and quiet except for the birds. It was exactly what we were looking for. We so enjoyed our coffee on the porch. It was a short distance to the river and a very nice place to fish and/or picnic. We have never been treated as well at any other cabins. Fresh eggs and just picked spinach? Doesn't get any better. Inside the cabin was great. The a/c worked great, the water was hot and the bed was really comfortable. Would definitely recommend and already looking at the calendar to see when we can go back. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality.

Rustic Cozy Cabin

Overall a nice stay. Stan was around the property each day, and was most pleasant to talk with. He brought us a dozen fresh eggs, which we enjoyed immensely! The cabin had a nice view of his large garden and a windmill, but was quite a bit more rustic than we had anticipated. We had not seen a picture of the bathroom on the booking site, and it was very small. The overhead fan did not work. Thankfully we had brought a portable fan, which was necessary to clear the humidity from the bathroom. Water pressure was good. The place was generally clean, but the windows and blinds were not. (I cleaned the window and blinds above the kitchen sink so I could enjoy the space better, and the view outside. Unfortunately I was unable to do the window and blinds at the dining table.) Be aware that the bed sheets are 100% Polyester, which for us were uncomfortable with the humidity. (Wish I had brought our cotton sheets!) The bedroom closet had 6 hangers. A 2nd small night stand would be nice. Also instead of a bench, some shelves in the bedroom would be helpful for storing folded clothes. Laundry detergent was furnished upon request. The A/C worked well, and the ceiling fans in the living area & bedroom increased the comfort. One big hassle was the door key, which inserted fine, but took several minutes of jiggling every which way before it would come out! We did enjoy walking the property; the resident dogs were super friendly. And we enjoyed the close proximity to Glen Rose.
