Situated on Park Street in Queenstown’s prestigious ‘dress circle,’ this is about as close to the action as you can get, while remaining tucked away on a quiet lakeside street away from the main roads. A scenic five-minute stroll along the lakefront and through the Queenstown Gardens brings you straight into the heart of town, where an abundance of world-class restaurants, cafes, and shops await.

The Bay House is conveniently 7km from the airport, and is an easy 24-minute drive to Coronet Peak for skiing and snowboarding in the winter and downhill mountain biking in the summer.

STYLE:
Designed by renowned New Zealand architect Ian Athfield in 1987, this three-level home maximizes its location with all bedrooms offering stunning lake views. The Bay House offers a luxurious yet wonderfully homely vibe in a standout location.

The property has been fully modernised, including ducted heating and double glazing along with luxurious furnishings meticulously curated by the talented owners, who work in interior design and creative advertising. As a result, every aspect of the house exudes a sense of sophistication and aesthetic appeal, a reflection of the owners` expertise.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
The three king bedrooms all feature magnificent lake views across Lake Wakatipu and unobstructed mountain views either standing or lying down. Luxurious new beds, feather down pillows and duvets and top-quality luxurious linens, offer ultimate comfort. The second floor features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including an ensuite for the main bedroom. The third bedroom is on the top floor. There is also a separate toilet on this level. Both bathrooms have showers, luxury toiletries, hair dryers, heated towel rails and underfloor heating.

LIVING AREA:
The third floor living area at The Bay House offers a spacious and inviting atmosphere, exuding a wonderful alpine feel. With its vaulted beam ceilings, schist gas fireplace, and fabulous furnishings, it`s the ideal place to unwind. Take a seat on the sofa or the luxurious leather loungers and make yourself comfortable. For your entertainment, there`s a 55` Smart TV and Bluetooth audio.

The floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding door open to the front balcony, where you can bask in the refreshing mountain air, listen to the soothing sounds of the lake, and soak in the breathtaking mountain views.

KITCHEN AND DINING:
The Bay House is all about the details, right down to the plates, cups and crockery, a bright and quirky collection sure to bring about some fun holiday conversations. The modern kitchen boasts loads of natural light and is fully equipped with quality appliances and the all-important coffee machine. There’s breakfast bar stool seating in the kitchen, and a dining area for six. Also on the top level of the home, this is a bright and welcoming space to prepare and share memorable holiday meals with your friends and family. Worth mentioning also is the gorgeous wallpaper, reflective of the surrounding alpine environment.

OUTDOOR LIVING:
The dining area opens out to a sunny back patio. It`s the perfect spot for firing up the Weber BBQ and enjoying a delicious meal at the outdoor dining table or relaxing on the extra-large and super comfy lounge suite. There`s a spa pool nestled in this area too, just what you need to soothe those tired muscles after a day of hitting the slopes or biking trails.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS:
With its central location, The Bay House offers plenty of opportunity for exploring close to home. If you`re up for some fun and games, there’s four good quality tennis racquets, pétanque balls, and four frisbee golf frisbees, all located in the garage and available for guest use; head over to the courts, greens, and course at the Queenstown Gardens just a minutes’ walk away. Guests are also welcome to use the chilly bin, small backpack, and picnic rug for adventures.

There`s an abundance to explore in the surrounding areas including Glenorchy and historic Arrowtown, and the impressive 150kms Queenstown Trail network.

OTHER PRACTICALITIES:
There is parking for three cars on the flat driveway (easy access / avoid the infamous steep driveways of Queenstown). There is a fully equipped laundry in the ground floor garage with washer, dryer and two ‘Asko’ drying cupboards for wet ski gear and ski racks.

RATE INCLUSIONS, FEES & MINIMUM STAYS:
Rates are inclusive of 15% GST, spa pool valet, premium linen and for a maximum of six guests. A departure clean fee of NZ$375 applies. Bookings of 8 nights or more receive a complimentary mid-stay service with fresh towels. (Bed linen change not included; upgrade to a full linen change is available for $150 including GST). Minimum 3-night stay year-round, and 4 -7 nights during peak periods.

PLEASE NOTE:
Credit card fees are non-refundable. This is important to be aware of if you choose to pay your balance ahead of the due date.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- Guest(s) making a booking must be over 25 years of age. Any guests under 25 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their stay.

- Please note, this home is best suited for adults. The Bay House does not allow children under 10 years old without Owner’s approval.

- The Bay House is a residential dwelling and no parties or events are to be held.

- Please be mindful that the property is located in a residential area and be courteous to your neighbours. As per Resource Consent with council, quiet hours are to be observed between 10pm and 7am.

- We are required to take a security bond pre-authorisation hold in addition to the total booking price. (n/a to Airbnb bookings).

- A standard exit clean is included with your booking; however, you are expected to leave the property in a satisfactory state (clear and tidy). Charges may apply for loss of keys, excessive rubbish, sorting contaminated rubbish/recycling, excessive cleaning or damage to the property for example.

- Lost key(s) will incur a fee of NZ$100 each; as they are restricted keys they are costly to replace.

- Charges may also apply for travel costs and management/staff time if for example, having to make a dump run, coordination of tradesman/repairs, additional property visits, shop for replacements, and so forth.
