Unfortunately, our stay in Quebec City involved a serious safety concern and a lack of communication from the host.During our stay, someone unlocked the door and entered the property without any notice, message, or knock on the door, while we were inside the home. Five women were staying at the property, traveling on our own, and the unexpected entry was extremely unsettling and felt like a major breach of their privacy and safety.We immediately reached out to the host through VRBO, asking for clarification about who entered the property and why there had been no prior communication, but we received no response. The lack of communication made the situation even more difficult because we had no way to resolve what had happened or feel reassured that it wouldn’t happen again.Due to the safety concern and the absence of any response from the host, VRBO ultimately stepped in and relocated us to another property.Quebec City is a beautiful place to visit, but unfortunately, this experience was stressful and disappointing. Communication and guest safety should always be a priority, and that was not our experience with this host.
