House is as described. It’s is large and beautiful and in a great location. Be sure to check out the town square in Qala as it has a few restaurants and a great atmosphere. I’d stay here again any time.

Gern wieder

An sich alles super. Es ist ein wenig abgelegen, was aber auch seine Vorteile hat. Das Haus an sich ist super auch die beiden Pools. Die Küche hat alles was man braucht, hatte aber anscheinend Mal einen Wasserschaden. Direkt hinter dem Haus ist eine Pferde Ranch was dazu führen kann, das es ab und an Mal danach riecht. Hat uns persönlich aber nicht gestört. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden und ziehen sogar in Betracht nochmal wiederzukommen. Leider hat der Vermieter später nicht mehr auf Nachrichten reagiert, was mich gestört hat. Darum hier nur 3 Sterne.

Fantastic cannot fault host Arnold. Villa very well maintained everything you need. Qala 10 mins walk shops bars restaurants and authentic bakery dont miss out !!!

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit schönen klimatisierten Schlafräumen und genügend Bädern für uns neun. Die Menschen sind sehr gastfreundlich und aufgeschlossen, das Zentrum mit Bars und Restaurants fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Nice house needing a little TLC

The house is in a very rural area of Gozo and has no direct access by car. To access the property you have to park on the road and then walk down an alley (approximately 400 feet) to the house. The kitchen urgently needs renovation, which we understand will be done shortly. Dishwasher and kitchen counters need to be replaced and also pots and pans. The linen and blankets also need updating and more care has to be paid to the size of the linens and blankets. A twin blanket on a queen bed does not work. Equally, a king fitted sheet on a queen sized bed does not work very well either. The outside pool was very nice and well maintained after the pool guy fixed the pump timer. The indoor pool is not heated in summer and is effectively unavailable. A clothes dryer was specified in the description on Home Away and we expected a tumble dryer. It was non-existent but the house is equipped with a clothes drying rack to put on the patio. The clothes did however dry very quickly in summer. Air Conditioning - It’s a hot year but we think it would be fair to explain that only the bedrooms have a/c not the living room. There are however three portable fans in the living room. The most disappointing fact about this property which is basically a lovely house with a few deficiencies is that it is located in close proximity to the Gozo Riding Stables. In hot weather, the pool area will occasionally smell like a barnyard depending on the wind direction and additionally, you will often be awakened very early by a choir of a rooster, a pea hen and a hungry donkey. The caretakers, Miriam and her sister did an excellent job presenting a clean property. The Owner was also great; good communication and very proactive with problems or questions.

Great holiday with family and friends

We stayed at Tal-Badessa for 7 days. Its a big villa and enough space for 12 people very comfortably (we are 7 adults and 5 kids), although the house has minor damages which the owner is aware of this was kept clean by their lovely and very helpful house keeper. Arnold, the owner was very responsive to questions we have and kept us informed regarding the location of the property etc. Although we had a slight confusion about transfers the owners have been helpful in sorting part of this for us and made us feel we are looked after and ensure our stay is going all fine. The housekeeper dropped by couple of times to ask if there is anything we need and also helped us arranged transportations to go around the islands and suggested boat trips, transfers from the villa to the airport and other little things that made our holiday smooth and enjoyable. The rooms are really spacious and clean as well as the bathrooms and kitchen. There are enough utensils for cooking and barbecue was clean for us to use. If there are suggestions they could probably do with updating some kitchen/cooking utensils but otherwise they are clean for use. We would like to thank Arnold and his team for making our holiday an unforgettable one. We enjoyed our stay and happy to recommend this villa and will stay again in the future given another chance to go back to Gozo.

Peace and tranquility

This farmhouse is in a fantastic location on the outskirts of Qala, with local bars/restaurants and a very well stocked village shop in walking distance. We visited in October so the outdoor pool was a bit cold but we made good use of the indoor pool instead (great to have the choice!) The facilities in the farmhouse were exceptional (even the wifi) and the decoration made it feel very homely. We had plenty of space (family of 3) indoors and outdoors to relax when we weren't out sightseeing on the Island. Unfortunately we didn't meet the owner but he did call to make sure we were settled in OK on the first night which was nice. Would definitely recommend without hesitation.

Das Landhaus war genau so wie auf den Bildern! Alles war sauber und hygienisch. Die Außenanlage mit Pool einfach ein Traum. Wir waren total zufrieden und würden immer wieder in dieses Haus zurück kommen.

Really clean and spacious

We were just a couple but this property is very big and plenty of space Was very clean when we arrived great indoor and outdoor swimming pools a highly recommend place to stay Only down side was dirty BBQ and like there is no oil salt or anything to cook with I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

Perfect holiday home

This property was perfect for our week long stay in Gozo. It suited us all - two small children, their parents and us as grandparents. The heated indoor pool was invaluable due to the mixed weather conditions during our stay. I failed to find a dustpan and brush but absolutely everything else was present! The small kitchen was incredibly well stocked so catering was an easy option.

Superb villa in good location

Arnold the owner arranged a transfer from the airport, direct to the villa. This proved a great option as the villa is tucked away down a small alley way which would not be easy to find. Arnold met us at the villa and showed us around, and even drove us to Lidl to pick up some basics. On entering the property it was a real wow! The pictures on the website understated how good the villa layout was and how spacious. There were 8 of us so we utilised all bedrooms which were located on 1st and 2nd floor. The local town centre was easy to walk to and contained a number of good restaurants and a lively little bar called Zeppis. Small but very well stocked supermarkets could also be accessed in the town. We chose to hire an open sided jeep seating 8 which was a great way to travel around. To avoid disappointment book in advance as these seem very popular. Overall, Gozo was great place for a holiday and the villa was excellent.

Perfect for our holiday

The villa is in a quiet location on the edge of Qala just a short walk from the 5 or 6 bars and good restaraunts in the centre. It's spacious, well-equipped and comfortable and had everything we needed for our holiday. It was a lovely place to come back to and relax after a day's diving or sightseeing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

This villa is the best we have stayed in and we have stayed in a few over the years visiting Gozo it is very spacious and the bedrooms are all airy and light yet the gorgeous blinds let you keep the rooms cool. We didn't really use the indoor pool as it was August and the kitchen is very well fitted out with good appliances would stay again when we visit

Wow factor!

Arnold was very easy to communicate with. I found him very relaxed about everything and nothing was too much trouble. We booked the Villa based on the reviews and photos and we weren't disappointed. We couldn't believe the size of the villa and it was spotless with the exception of the sunbed cushions, but honestly, if they had been brand new they would have been very dirty in a day or so, as they are probably not practical because of the colour and material to use around a pool. I would also suggest maybe a painted line to highlight the step down from the pool to the patio as a few times we forgot and stumbled, but that's all I could fault. Arnold arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and the driver George was very nice and was waiting for us. Also we had a complimentary welcome pack, Arnold asked if we there was any shopping we wanted , we asked for a couple of things which he kindly didn't charge for. The pools inside and out were spotless and were also cleaned during our stay. We used the inside one and the jacuzzi only once because of the novelty as the weather was lovely outside . I cannot emphasise enough how enormous the villa is. There were only 4 of us but it could sleep 12. The rooms were large and airy with beautiful modern bathrooms, two ensuite, two without but there was a beautiful family bathroom plus a toilet and washbasin off the indoor pool. Air conditioning in bedrooms was excellent and windows were fitted with blinds. We had cable TV with a good selection of English channels. The kitchen is very well equipped, plenty of dishes, glasses etc. Perhaps time to refurbish fridge freezer outer doors. Qala is very small and quiet. It has 3 supermarkets about 10 mins walking distance from villa which will deliver free of charge. There are about 4 restaurants, we ate in D-BAR, it's fantastic, immaculate and very friendly staff, delicious food, we ate there 3 times in the week we visited, large menu to choose from. We had no hiccups with anything in the villa, free Wi-Fi, and hassle free pick up back to the airport arranged by Arnold. Had a lovely relaxing holiday and would recommend the villa, would love to visit again.

Wunderschöner Familienurlaub

Wir waren im Mai mit 2 Familien (4 Kids von 10 bis 15) im Farmhouse und waren richtig begeistert. So wie es auf den Bildern aussieht, ist er auch in Wirklichkeit. Wir haben oft gekocht und gegrillt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und der Grill war super. Wir hatten Autos am Flughafen gemietet und sind dann direkt zum Farmhouse gefahren. Das hat ganz gut geklappt, trotz des Linksverkehrs. Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage in Gozo verbracht und können das Farmhouse auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Highly Recommend

Absolutely loved staying at this property - couldn't fault it. We have been to Gozo 11 times before, staying at a different property each time, and can honestly say that this was beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best property. The house is spotless, has everything you could possibly need, and is furnished to a high standard. Loved the heated indoor pool and spent a lot of time in there. The outdoor area was fab - great covered seating area for breakfast and bbqs. The property is in a very peaceful location, with some great restaurants nearby, and not far from the ferry port. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be back!

Fantastic Property!

Fantastic communication with the owner (Arnold). Extremely helpful owner, assisted with taxi transfer to and from the airport and all our general questions answered. We were a group of 5 ladies visiting during April. The weather was very mixed so we very much appreciated the indoor pool. The property itself is spotless. We would recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit Gozo.

50th Birthday Bash

Eight adults; one fiftieth celebration; Villa Tal-Badessa = relaxation and total perfection! Villa Tal-Badessa is a really special place – hidden up a quaint alley the first glance does not reveal what lies hidden inside! It is a perfect venue whatever you are looking for: family time, fun,friends time or a chance to unwind. As a party of eight adults we found the villa gave you plenty of privacy with its spacious and well thought out surroundings and at the same time there was an ambient and cosy atmosphere when needed. With two pools, we were truly spoilt. Although I must admit, when I heard of the indoor pool (which is fantastic, by the way) I thought I would never use it. But it was ideal for those hazy days and lazy evenings and a place the men congregated for sporting chat, and the women could practice water aerobics! The interior of the villa is spot on and the bedrooms (and beds) were comfortable and offered some amazing views. Qala is the ideal spot to holiday, only a few minutes walk to the centre with its charming selection of bars and restaurants and we managed to walk to both Hondoq Bay (so cheap for food and water taxis to Comino) and Mgarr. You can also make use of the excellent local buses with a week-long ticket. We have stayed on this magical island several times before and it would be true to say we have fallen in love with Qala and can’t wait to get back, click open a Cisk and dabble our feet in Tal-Badessa’s pool.

Virgilian Paradise

My wife and two young sons had a lovely stay during the Easter holidays. The indoor pool was a superb feature , as we had found that the sea and outdoor pools were still a bit chilly in early April. The house was very well equipped, clean and with some lovely decorative features.Arnold and family were very accommodating with our arrival time, and made us feel so welcome. A really lovely house with a great semi rural location. So peaceful. I'm sure we will be back!
