"We had a great stay. The room was modest, as expected, and very clean. The gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and helped us get set up with the laundry. There was fresh milk in our fridge for coffee - a nice surprise."

"It was pouring with rain when we arrived, so we really appreciated having the carport and entry cover, so we didn’t get soaked hauling our luggage in. Great for a 1nt stay on our way from Wellington to the Coromandel. Because of the weather the Coromandel didn’t happen, but that’s a whole other story! "

"Room was great. I've stayed in places for over double the price and they reeked of cheap cleaning products. This place was clean and had a neutral smell. Owners were helpful and sorted out any problems I raised. The building is an experience in it's self. Would definitely come back if I'm able too."

"This was an amazing lodge to stay while we travelled around Tongariro National Park. The owners are very friendly and want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I would HIGHLY recommend staying in this hidden gem. If I ever come back I will most certainly stay here again. Also, their breakfast was outstanding. "

"The location is perfect, on beautiful grounds, nice view of the mountains, close to Turangi (where you can find restaurants) and about 30 minutes from the Tongariro National Park. I was a little disappointed with the inside of the chalets, specially considering their prices. Decoration is rustic, but not charming. When I saw them on the website (hotels.com) I had the impression I was booking another room, which looked better. Also, in the reservation it said "hot tub" but it turns out that...

"The male staff at the reception was very helpful by flexible arrangement. Parking a car in front of each lodge as well as the kichen was convenient. The facilty in the room looks a little old, but considering the price, it was acceptable. "

"Being in a dome was unique. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Nice to be right on the lake. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean."

"The Grove Turangi accommodation was lovely, easy to reach and very clean. There was parking right in front of the place. Check-in was super easy and straightforward with clear instructions. The hosts were very friendly. As an extra bonus, there was a sauna, which we really enjoyed. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we definitely recommend it! "
