"Excellent. Very convenient. Room was spacious and well-equipped. Staff was very nice. We actually couldn't make it for the first night because of a change in plans so we tried to contact the hotel but couldn't get through. When we arrived the next day, we did not get any funny looks or stares. We just got the same nice, courteous service we would expect. Plus, the location cannot be beat. Right on the beach. You can literally see the ocean from here! And feel that nice sea breeze wafting through...

"The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a cabin with its own amenities, but we did scope out the shared kitchen and it was spacious and clean. It is pet friendly, there were other people in campers and RVs who had dogs with them. The owners also had a friendly little fur baby who was one of the highlights of our interactions with them. I recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed for 1 night only in early October. The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and tidy, as was the lounge area. There was ample parking in the basement area. The walk to the township of Paihia was along the sea-shore and was very pleasant, and close to the ferry terminal where we caught the ferry to Russell."

"Ash Grove was the perfect place for our stay. It is out of the way and rather private. It is not in the middle of Paihia but close enough that we could easily drive in to town to eat and go on our tour of the Bay. Even better, it was just down the road from Haruru Falls, which was spectacular. We loved going on a walk along the river. We felt very much at home in our little cottage. Grange and Bronwyn are fantastic hosts and do a fantastic job maintaining their property. I highly recommend Ash...

"Our hosts were amazing, they welcomed us upon arrival, assisted with our luggage and provided some home made baking. They host a very high quality continental breakfast with home made bread, eggs cooked to your liking. Extensive knowledge of the area, lots of maps and recommendations, would highly recommend staying at Allegra, we actually stayed an addition night as it’s the perfect location to base yourself in the Bay of Islands.The views from the rooms are amazing looking over the harbour to...
