"The location is perfect, on beautiful grounds, nice view of the mountains, close to Turangi (where you can find restaurants) and about 30 minutes from the Tongariro National Park.
I was a little disappointed with the inside of the chalets, specially considering their prices. Decoration is rustic, but not charming.
When I saw them on the website (hotels.com) I had the impression I was booking another room, which looked better. Also, in the reservation it said "hot tub" but it turns out that...

"I'd rate the room as 6.5/10. Linen was fresh and clean, and everything was functional. Handy location too. But the room could have been cleaner. And it was a bit "tired" and could do with a proper refit/tidy.
Also, in the evening we called reception re using the spa or sauna; but no one answered, so we left a msg that no one replied to."
