"The cottage is lovely and everything we hoped for when booking a thatched roof cottage. We enjoyed listening to the stream that runs through the backyard and how cozy and homey the cottage felt. The only negative about our stay was that it was too short."

It is also well situated for a nice walk to see neighboring farms, including a friendly pony and donkey pair. Pam is a generous host - she baked us traditional Irish brown bread and stocked the kitchen with a couple of staples. The house had everything we needed and we really enjoyed it. "

Mariza is a 5 star host, welcoming us with tasty bakes and fresh milk and really easy to communicate with - no long waits for an answer. "Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. Every shower had mold and mildew (and gross amounts of caulking) and mine included a sliver of dried bar soap complete with black speck inside the soap dish. The pillows were the kind you might...
