The 2 wooded acres gave me the impression of seclusion, so I wasn't expecting the neighbors with the chickens to seem so close. I was uncomfortable with the back porch being in line of sight with their top and bottom floor windows but over at the hot tub, you can't see the windows or the house. Inside was exactly as the listing photos, everything was neat and tidy. The kitchen had everything for our stay, and I was thankful to find resealable bags and foil in a drawer while prepping dinner! I was impressed with the kitchen knives; this is the first place I've stayed at that had sharp kitchen knives - making dinner prep a breeze! The king bed was very soft, giving the sensation of sinking into it and being cocooned. The bathroom adjoining it was tidy with plenty of linens but there was a gray ring around the bottom of the tub that I couldn't remove with the all-purpose cleaner I brought, so I had to abandon my plans for a bath. The cleanliness of the hot tub was initially a concern as we scooped out some light debris & the water seemed cloudy. We showered before entering and didn't feel slick or gross when we got out. It was so relaxing in the hot tub, and we enjoyed our time in there. We didn't have time to utilize the fire pit, but there was plenty of wood supplied. Overall, we enjoyed our night there, and I'm thankful for the time we got to steal away and spend together for our anniversary.
