Glorious island sunshine streams into Hanalei Bay Resort 8234, a recently remodeled, corner studio with a private lanai and a beautiful view of the ocean, Bali Hai, and tropical sunsets over the mountains.
This hotel-room-style studio features air-conditioning for your comfort, a king bed, a full bathroom, and a private lanai. It's ideally positioned on the top floor - but only eight steps above the ground level, making it easy to access. You'll also enjoy all the amenities that Hanalei Bay Resort has to offer.
Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled on 22 acres along the beautiful coastline of the North Shore, the resort abounds with tropical foliage and amazing views of the green mountains, waterfalls, tropical sunsets over Bali Hai, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. In this spot overlooking Hanalei Bay, you'll be steps from a white-sand beach located below the resort.
Originally built as a tennis resort, the property still features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island. Enjoy access to eight tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, bell and shuttle service, beach gear rentals, a lagoon-style saltwater pool designed for family fun, and a quieter, smaller pool for those looking for something a little more relaxing. Hanalei Bay Resort also boasts close proximity to many North Shore attractions, shops, and two of Kauai’s best golf courses.
THINGS TO KNOW Condos contain lockouts, meaning there are shared doors. Sounds may be audible between connecting doors. Mini-fridge and coffee maker available Internet provided by Hanalei Bay Resort does not support streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. This property is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii, LLC. Hanalei Bay Resort swim-up pool bar is indefinitely closed. This is a privately owned unit in a resort. Since it is privately owned and rented, hotel-style housekeeping is not offered. There is no daily housekeeping.
Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 2.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The room has a really nice view of the bay. The resort swimming pool and hot tubs are not fancy b...
The room has a really nice view of the bay. The resort swimming pool and hot tubs are not fancy but pretty good. We liked that better than something too gaudy. The onsite restaurant is awesome.
The only downside is that you won't have housekeeping like a hotel.
It was perfect for a quiet north shore vacation!

Had a great stay in this room. Loved the resort and view from the balcony. The room itself needed some upgrades. The sliding glass door does not lock and the drawers for the dresser in the closet were very difficult to open/close. I wish there were small beach chairs to take to the beach so we didn’t have to rent any. But overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

The property itself was great. You get the amenities of the hotel. It was nice being able to walk to the beach which the property shares with 1 Hotel. The biggest downside was checking in and communication with the management team. They did not have us on the list to check in which caused us to wait about an additional hour to check in. The management team did not want to communicate and help resolve the issue as to why my name wasn’t down and they didn’t care that it took an hour for the hotel to get our reservation. Again the property and room were good but management is poor.

A beautiful view
The view was incredible. The walk was a little much. Didn’t think the studio was as clean as it should have been. Floor needed mopping and coffee maker we didn’t use until we cleaned it. The mattress sagged

Issues with Vacasa
Our property was as described and lovely. Vacasa dropped the ball on adding us to the reservation list so, upon arrival, we were not able to get checked in to the resort. You are not contacting a property owner, you are contacting an outsourced team with no connection or knowledge of the property. I was put on hold repeatedly for extended periods of time, only to be asked what I was calling about over and over again. I asked for a manager but the agent was very reluctant to transfer me. When I finally did speak to a manager, I asked that they relay the issue to the property owner, and they said they had no way of doing that.That presents a real problem when you need help with the property itself. They said they would try reaching someone “local” to call the resort, whatever that means.The resort concierge said this happens multiple times a day with Vacasa. The resort consists of independently owned condos, and they said the ones booked through Vacasa often have issues.

Amazing view and beautiful, peaceful property
The views of the Napali coast can’t be beat from this unit. It was the furthest building back so we had nobody in front of us and it was breathtaking all through out the day. The pool and outdoor lobby area was very beautiful and welcoming as well. We spent most of our time exploring vs at the resort but coming back to a clean room with a large bathroom was ideal. Only thing to note is the walk from the unit to the parking lot is a bit of a haul (but at least it’s pretty along the way)
