Nice Cabin
5 of us stayed for several nights. The internet access barely works, but that was kind of a plus for us. We had a great time.

Great Spot on the River

Enjoyable stay
Host was very helpful and answered questions quickly. Location was great for us to explore the different visitor centers of New River Gorge National Park. We enjoyed the peaceful setting from the deck looking out onto the river.

beautiful cabin and location
Overall, it was a great stay. The only downside was that we did not have internet or cell service (we have verizon). The owner did let us know that there was a problem with the wifi on our first night and after talking to some of the locals we gathered this is a common problem. Unplugging was part of the plan for our trip but we couldn't even google information on the local attractions or even pull up a map without driving away from the cabin where cell service was better (kind of embarrassing how reliant on the internet we are!). I would still recommend this rental but if you are planning a stay I would recommend you do research ahead of time on any places you want to go and bring a map just in case.

Cabin overlooking the River
We stayed for two nights at Granny’s Cabin. Everything was there to make our stay comfortable. We visited different parts of New River Gorge NP for two days. We also visited Tamarack which is an artisan venue all with hand made items from West Virginians. Very unique items. Good place to explore the National Park and the River.

Awesome place!
The cabin was great! Clean, quiet, and right next to the river. Neighbors are nice and have a sweet dog that likes to say hi! Would def recommend!

Great Friends Getaway
Communication was great from the start. The cabin looked even better in person than the pictures online. Very clean, nice furnishings, spacious front porch, and everything was in working order. Air conditioning worked great. Easy access to the New River and boat launches. We kayaked near the cabin for hours! Gorgeous views! Just wanted to mention that the WiFi connection is spotty. Be aware that you will be in a gorge and cell phone signals and data are likely in the one bar area at best (I have Verizon). We did not come to this cabin to be on our phones so this really did not affect us. Overall, very cozy and relaxing. Would definitely rent again if we are in the area. Thank you for making this trip a breeze!

Great family vacation
Let me start with saying the location of this property is amazing. My husband and I sat on the porch for at least three hours a day. It is so beautiful there. My entire family loved the cabin it was very clean and beautifully crafted. The AC blasted. The furniture was comfortable. The only complaint on that is there is not enough seating in the living room. We compromised with outdoor chairs. The WiFi is non existent as well as cell service. It really shouldn’t be advertised. As far as the property the only real negative was that the shower did not drain properly. So a family of 6 that made it impossible. There were also a lot of bugs in the shower. But in a cabin we weren’t worried about it. But everything else was great. The only suggestion other than more seating would be candles or flashlights. We lost power one night in a storm. And didn’t have backups. Overall we had a wonderful trip and would stay there again.

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Granny's on the River. I would like to address the complaints. I'm not sure what happened to the flashlight because we had provided one just in case of power outage. This cabin is on the River and if you leave the door open at night with lights on bugs do venture in. The drain issue was resolved immediately after your departure. We were expecting a family of 6 as per booking and there were actually 7 guests ! There is a WiFi Hotspot at the cabin. We will provide better instructions for future guests. Sorry for any inconvenience. Cell service is not the best between 2 mountains. We are hoping that high-speed internet will eventually make it to our area. We truly strive to make everyone's stay comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Thank you and welcome back anytime!

If your looking for a quiet, secluded, riverside cabin this is the one for you. We visited the Grandview, New River Gorge bridge, Endless Wall trail, and went white water rafting on the Lower New River(short drive from them all). Loved waking up in the morning, drinking coffee on the front porch, watching the humming birds and listening to the sounds of the rippling water. Only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Gorgeous Little Retreat!
We rented this cabin to celebrate my birthday weekend, and had the loveliest time! The host worked hard to accommodate our early check-in request, and was eager to help with any questions we had. The location is right in the national park, about 30 minutes from the Bridge and Canyon Rim Visitor Center. The street is very quiet and right across from the river and mountains, absolutely beautiful. I loved sitting on the front porch with my coffee every morning, and also in the evening to watch all the fireflies! The only thing to note is that wifi and phone service is very limited. This ended up being a plus for us, loved getting to unplug, but would be an issue for anyone trying to work remotely. Overall, I highly recommend! Gorgeous spot, lovely host, very clean: great little retreat.

Wonderful Cabin!
The cabin was awesome - very clean, great location and friendly neighbors. We were able to disconnect and enjoy all the wonderful things WV has to offer. We enjoyed the mountains with some great hiking trails nearby and went white water rafting. Started every morning with some coffee on the porch enjoying the gorgeous view. We will come back and enjoy the location on the river to do some fishing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Peace and relaxation
Wonderful cabin by the river! Beautiful location in the country. Close to towns for dining out and shopping. Lots of outdoor activities to participate in, if you like. The host was very responsive to questions and suggested several great local places to eat. We will definitely visit again!
