    Our accommodation is located in the centre of the Sierras Subbéticas Cordobesas Natural Park, in an idyllic setting, at the foot of a mountain range with Mediterranean forest, surrounded by centuries-old holm oaks and with incredible views of Pico Bermejo and La Tiñosa, the highest points in the province of Cordoba. In short, an ideal place for hiking, cycling, or simply resting where you can hear an owl at night, or a fox, or even squirrels.....

    We have restored an old farmhouse trying to respect as much as possible the essence of a country house, but with the comforts that are demanded nowadays. Air conditioning in the 4 bedrooms on the first floor and in the living room, Starlink wifi throughout the property of 100 mgb, 55 inch smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, oven, microwave, etc... On the ground floor there is a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with 1,35 x1,90 m bed, and on the first floor, 2 double bedrooms, a triple bedroom and a quadruple bedroom.

    Outside there is a 9x8 metre swimming pool, with night lighting, barbecue area, outdoor bathroom with shower and several recreational areas, such as an area with a country kitchen and DJ area, Colombian hammocks and 8 sun loungers for sunbathing from April to October, as well as another bathroom with washing machine.

    We have a 30x15 m dirt sports court with two indoor football goals, where we will soon install a small badminton/basketball court and a basketball hoop.

    There is also a building 25 metres away, which on its highest floor and with access from the street has a large 150 m2 living room that can be used for celebrations or simply as a complement to the house. There is a large country fireplace in the centre of the lounge, smartTV, bottle racks, gas cooker with a 1 metre wide oven, video projector and screen, table games, armchairs and sofas for 15 people, as well as a large fireplace. On the ground floor, there are 12 stables for horse lovers, a watering trough and a cleaning area. BUILDING NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE RESERVATION.

    The property has 21,000 m2 so that you can explore every corner of the incredible Mediterranean forest that surrounds it.

    ACTIVITIES:

    You can call us at any time during your stay, or even before arriving at the house, we will be happy to solve any doubts or problems you may have.
    We can offer you a delicious paella, tapas, homemade food from the area, homemade sweets, etc...
    We can take you to see how some of the most important olive oil mills in the world that are located in our municipality work. They can visit a factory where they make an exquisite traditional goat's cheese, or visit one of the white wine cellars of the Montilla-Moriles denomination which are 35 km from the house.
    Recommend some of the countless walking and cycling routes that can be done from there.
    We usually spend a day or two at the house on stays of more than a week to clean the pool, water the plants and chat with the tenants.

    It is an ideal place to organise a special celebration, such as a wedding, christening, separation, etc... as we have an outdoor lounge of 150 m2 with kitchen. We can hire a private chef for a party, a masseuse for a day of pampering and even a bus trip to one of the nearby cities to attend a flamenco show. If you are looking for a special day for an event, we can also help you.

    There are a few tapas bars within walking distance of the house to go and experience the real Andalusia with fantastic food and some of our fine wines and oils.

    VISITS LESS THAN AN HOUR AWAY

    Priego de Córdoba 4 km away, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, where you can see the Barrio de la Villa, the Balcón del Adarve and the Fuente del Rey, Carnicerías Reales, the 13th and 14th century Moorish castle or the monumentality of the best Andalusian Baroque in its churches such as the 16th century Iglesia de la Asunción.

    In Almedinilla, 12 km away, you can visit one of the best preserved Roman Villas in Andalusia as well as its ecomuseum of the Caicena river, very close to the waterfalls of Cola de Caballo, and the Iberian settlement Cerro de la Cruz.

    In the town of Cabra, 26 km from the house, you will find the Hospital Comarcal Infanta Margarita, a town rich in heritage, such as the Municipal Auditorium, the Tren del Aceite Interpretation Centre, the Ermita de la Virgen de la Sierra from where you can see a large part of Andalusia, or the Fuente del Río.

    Lucena, 30 km from the house, offers many tourist attractions, from its history, represented in buildings such as the Castillo del Moral and former palace of the Medinaceli, the Church of San Mateo, the House of the Counts of Santa Ana or the House of the Rico de Rueda; its artisan tradition, especially in goldsmithing and pottery; its gastronomy, of which its wines are proof; and, finally, its festivals. You can also go on a cycling route from the station of the old Tren del Aceite railway line, where the Subbética greenway passes, one of the longest in Andalusia.

    Alcalá la Real is 30 km away, where you can visit the monumental complex Fortaleza de la Mota, one of the most impressive and best preserved in Andalusia, together with its old town, enjoy its streets and monuments.

    Rute, famous for its mantecados, and liquors, where you can visit the museums of Ham, Anis, polvorón, etc, where you will be treated to free tastings of their products and is 24 km from the house. You can also visit La Garganta del río la Hoz about 30 km from the house, or the thousand-year-old holm oak declared a Natural Monument by the Consejería de Medio Ambiente de la Junta de Andalucía, just 2 km from the house.

    Nor should you miss Iznajar, 40 km away, a village completely surrounded by one of the largest reservoirs in Andalusia, with the beach of Valdearenas, and where you can enjoy water sports such as rafting on the river Genil, or kayaking.

    About 65 km away is Antequera, where besides the city you can visit one of the most impressive geological formations in Southern Europe, El Torcal de Antequera in Villanueva de la Concepción. As well as the archaeological site of the dolmens of Antequera, a World Heritage Site.

    VISITS MORE THAN AN HOUR AWAY

    The beaches of the Costa del Sol in Malaga are 120 km from the house, where you can visit the Picasso Museum, the Alcazaba, or the Port of Malaga.

    The city of Ronda at 155 km, famous for its historic centre, bullring, or impressive Tajo.

    The city of Cordoba at 100 km, World Heritage Site where you can visit the Mosque Cathedral or Medinat Azahara at 12 km from the city:

    The city of Granada, where you can find Alhambra Generalife, 86 km away. If you are interested in visiting the second most visited monument in Spain, you should get your tickets well in advance online as they sell out very quickly.

    And finally, we recommend you to visit the historic city centres of Úbeda and Baeza in Jaén, 135 km away, World Heritage cities.
