First, this is a beautiful property situated between two mountain ranges. The views are incredible! Rooms are spacious and comfortable with gas fireplaces, large modern bathrooms and nice touches like a window seat, mini fridge and reading lights. Our bed was a bit hard but slept well. We did find that extra blankets would be nice but they were delivered quickly when we called the front desk. Everyone was so nice and accommodating! The only negatives to our stay were: the strong permeating smell of Brussel Sprouts throughout our stay (even in our room); the very open lobby/restaurant is loud and carried into our room especially when live music is happening in the lobby; and the restaurant is overpriced for what it is. We had room service one night and tried several appetizers which were delivered very quickly and were excellent. But when we ate at the grill, we were disappointed. Our server was inept or inexperienced— no mention of specials, no knowledge of the menu and once we had our food, she did not return to check on drink or water refills! My husband loved the trout but the bison spaghetti was just okay (the nuts were odd). And for a venue with sports on several TVs, condiments being filled on the bar and the noise level, it felt more like a lounge than a nice restaurant with expensive entrees. We did not venture out to the hot tub/spring as it was a good walk outside through snow/ice and very small. Finally, guests coming to Sage in snowy months should bring a 4wd.
