"It is a kilometre away from city centre but if you walk a half a kilometer, you will find restaurants, they just won’t have the same energy as the city center, which if you’re looking for a quiet environment is perfect. The staff are professional yet friendly and accommodating, we were always well looked after at breakfast, at the pool and at the bar area. Food was delicious and wine selection was good. The staff helped us with a few crossword clues!
Our suite was large with a striking design, and just a step from the pool area. Room was incredibly clean, and plunge pool on the terrace was a lovely touch at the end of a hot day.

"Myself and my daughter stayed at this property and had an amazing experience. Firstly they put a complimentary bottle of wine in our room for my daughter’s 18th birthday which was a lovely touch. "Great one night stay at Hotel Mato. Traditional old Greek house where the lady owner was so helpful and friendly. We had a room at the top of the house (up a spiral staircase) which had a spacious balcony with amazing views of the port. Lovely traditional Greek breakfast. The location is fantastic for Skiathos old town and the ferry port. Would recommend (as long as you like cats - she has tons them! ) "
