"I’d read bad reviews after booking so I was very worried. But we got a basic, decent chalet in a good location. It was quiet and safe. It needs a deep clean, mould on curtains, and cobwebs everywhere, but everything else was very clean. It was fine for the price we paid. Sykes cottages manage this chalet, but it’s Atlantic Bays reception, and they won’t know anything about your booking. "We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations. No pool/spa/gym/food. Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it. 2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place. Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs. For what was a basic room...

"Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired."

"The Harbour is a charming little inn right above the waterfront. My room had a balcony that I sat out on and enjoyed morning coffee and dinner, allowing me to watch the tides and surfers. I was very appreciative that they allowed dogs at a very reasonable weekly rate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Very good value for money, nice bar area, great location next to the beach, unfortunately heating broke down but that was beyond their control, they should have offered a free drink or similar. Would stay again, I was in an en-suite room which was good value, I was on my own but room could sleep 3. Would stay again "

"Clean, nice room for a single person. My private bathroom was Cosy. The staff's were above and beyond the call of duty. They worked hard to maitain good standards. Everyone was happy with their stay that i saw. Wish I'd gone to the bar there looked fantastic the morning after a party look. I missed it. Would definitely stay again. Want a double room next time. All the rooms have private bathrooms, this is not a back packers hostel, they are families rooms."

"Well fitted lounge and kitchen area which was very clean and well presented. Main bedroom was snug, 2nd bedroom would easily accomodare 3 children and bathroom was well fitted but with very temperamental shower. The whole propety was very clean and had the best towells I have ever come across in any accommodation! "The room was presentable, there was quite a lot of mould on the windows, and seagull droppings all over the windows. The breakfast was good and the staff was presentable and professional. The hotel could probably do with an update, the hotel is on a beautiful location close to fistral beach and a short walk to the town centre"
