"When we got there we had to clear spider webs off the doors to open them up. (That should have been a clue) It was hot a stuffy in the house, but they left fans since there is no air conditioning (thank you). When we got everything opened up it cooled down pretty well. we arrived kind of late, so we started dinner and let the kids play in the game room. around 8pm my daughter went to get the kids and a few inches from my 10-month-old grandson was a large black widow spider. "I usually travel with my best friend for my birthday weekend this year I wanted to make it a family trip to make memories with the grandbabies. This was a perfect place to do this. It is located at the top of the mountain so the view is amazing. Their is a game room that the grandbabies and all of us loved. Sunsets are amazing and the people around are so friendly. This I would say was the best trip and I'm excited to do it agian and we plan on booking this same cabin. Absolutely love this place"

"We took a last minute trip to the snow, and had never been to this area. Jim and Karen answered all of my questions (I had a lot) and they couldn’t have been nicer. They welcomed us by having a nice roaring fire going in the cabin. We had planned on going to Alta Sierra, and the tube park was closed. Turns out, there was no need to go at all. There is a small hill right next to the house, and a larger hill just down the road. We will probably take chains for the cars next time, just to be safe."

"It seems in the past it might used to the be good, looking at the infra. We arrived and there was no one at the check in - it was closed. Thee was a nunber to be called, but no one answered. Finally, I found an on-site worker who knew someone ( not the person at the sign ) that could help me. A very nice old lady who did hsr best but could barely find the key. Finally, having found the key, we went to the room. Besides the bed, that was nice, everything else was serioulsy dirty, I mean, DIRTY....

"RV was really cute and the property manager was very friendly. Everything was clean and working which is a huge plus considering it was so affordable. Only things I missed was things like hand soap, shampoo, ect. The bed was pretty hard but not the worst I've been on. No TV so if you're wanting to watch something you'll have to bring your own. We didn't have time for TV so it wasn't an issue. Would definitely stay again "

"The cabin is very comfortable and clean. We are satisfied with every room in the cabin (inside and out), our favorite is the living room (the fire place makes you feel relaxed and cozy). "The property was decorated with mid century cabin charm inside and outside the garden area had distinct seating spaces to enjoy whether you wanted to dine alfresco, take a siesta in the hammock or chill on the patio listening to the river flow. All the amenities were high quality and plentiful. I wish we could have the bed shipped home it was so comfortable. I would stay there again without hesitation. "

"We love Kernville for the biking and rafting and small town feel. The house was well located within a mile of town and was super clean. Plenty of room for 5 guys. We enjoyed hanging in the backyard too. Highly recommend "
