This charming apartment, with terrace and garden, is located in one of the most typical areas of Fontaínhas, in downtown Porto, close to all the main tourist attractions.
Ideally located to take advantage of all that the city has to offer, 10 minutes walk from Campo 24 Agosto station (access to the airport in 40 minutes).
It is an excellent starting point, pleasant and comfortable to discover Porto and its surroundings.

This beautiful apartment is spacious, very bright in a new building.
It includes two spacious bedrooms (sheets, duvets, pillows provided) and cupboards, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a washing machine, a fridge, an oven, a kettle, an espresso machine , a vacuum cleaner, iron with its table and all kitchen hardware. The living room includes a dining area, a flat screen TV, free wifi connection. The bathroom includes toiletries (soap, shampoo, shower gel), towels provided and a hairdryer.

If you are traveling with a baby, it is possible to provide you with a travel cot (paid service).

Located in the district of Fontaínhas and the School of Fine Arts, the trendy district of Porto, you will find yourself close to a multitude of restaurants and all the amenities within a few meters: bakery, supermarket, cafes, metro station.br>

We really enjoyed this apartment. It was close to cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and everything we wanted to do. We walked around until late at night and felt safe at all times. Like others mentioned, the bedrooms are in the basement with semi-steep stairs, so if you have a mobility issue, this could be a problem. Access to the private yard and deck was great. We would’ve used it more for eating breakfast outside or having some wine on the deck, but the weather wasn’t very warm. Others mentioned a musty smell in the basement. There was a bit of a musty smell, likely due to it being a concrete basement and it being damp from the rain that fell before and during the time we were there. There was a dehumidifier running so that will likely help. Air freshener scent sticks were placed around the apartment and made the apartment smell fruity. Overall, a great experience. I would stay there again.

It was just as advertised. The host met us at the door. She was incredibly friendly and full of great information. The place was spacious with two floors. The top floor had the kitchen and living space along with the bathroom and the bottom floor had two bedrooms and a full bath. Additionally, the place had great outdoor living space.Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Close to the things you want to see but not in the middle of them.I’m kind of a kitchen snob, and in my opinion no vacation rental has a well equipped kitchen; however, this was about the closest thing I’ve seen to it.

We were especially happy with the location to shop, go out for meals, a delightful bakery nearby and easy access to touring the historic district. Needs improvement: cleaning under beds and more comfortable pillows and mattresses.

Great location. Lots of hills in Porto. Great apartment. Only complaint was the neighbors played their music quite loud every night at dinner time. We had to eat inside as we could sit on the patio. Kitchen was stocked with basic items. Salt and pepper provided. We left vinegar and olive oil.

Everything was great. Ruis our host was great. He guided us when we arrived and helped us find parking on a busy Saturday in the city and also gave us the clue on when to move our car out front of the apartment. Once we did that we didn’t move the car again until we left. He also share a nice glass of port to toast the opening of our vacation. Also the recommendation for cafe and breakfast pastries on the general information was a great one. It was our regular spot.

Tous les membres de l'agence The Major d'Home qui gère l'arppartement sont très accueillants et aux petits soins (Ruiz, Pedro etc.). Le seul hic, c'est qu'il s'agit d'une agence donc plusieurs interlocuteurs et en cas de besoin d'un élément, ils doivent d'abord obtenir la validation du propriétaire des lieux avant de prendre toute décision. Ainsi, nous avions eu besoin d'un aspirateur au bout d'une semaine de séjour, mais nous n'avons pas pu l'obtenir en raison de la validation préalable du propriétaire qui n'est pas arrivée avant notre départ.L'appartement est très agréable, mais ne convient à des séjours en famille de plus d'une semaine, car il manque d'équipements de cuisine et de ménage. Merci malgré tout à l'équipe de l'agence The Major d'Home :-)

Very clean and spacious apartment. We stayed for 9 days with a friend and having more than one bathroom and plenty of storage really helped to spread out. The apartment was within 10 minutes walk to a grocery store and 15-25 minutes to many attractions. It was far enough away from the waterfront to be quiet and slightly off the beaten path. We have stayed in many VRBO's and would stay here again. The apartment presents exactly as it does in the host pictures.

Lovely Flat

We stayed at this recently updated flat within a 15 minute walk of the Ribiera district of Porto. The unit was furnished with cute furnishings and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook dinner. We were met promptly at check in time and given a toasting portion of port - a very nice touch!! The bedrooms are in the basement level and because of this are somewhat damp and do have a musty smell. There is a dehumidifier in the unit but think it really needs more than one. I don’t think it was a huge detractor from the experience but if you are sensitive to odors may be an annoyance. Only one of the two full bathrooms was on the bedroom level but that didn’t bother us. We just agreed to share that bathroom during the night and then one couple used the upstairs bathroom for showering and getting ready for the day. Also, be aware that the ad says parking is available. This became a point of contention when I asked how to access it and was told there was no parking. Only after involving VRBO did I get a different answer - that street parking was available and free. We were fortunate to find street parking when we arrived but high up on the hill, so it was a bit of a struggle with all of our luggage and groceries which had to be carried down. We were able to move to a closer spot the next day. On departure day, there were no spots open. The ad really should be changed to say “parking may be available”. Overall, a great place and a good experience!

Wonderful apartment

We were very impressed with the property and the location. Emmanuel welcomed us warmly and we enjoyed our four days there. We had everything we needed and were in walking distance to restaurants and sights.

Nice space, but poor host, musty, and spiders

It's a nice space in a good location, but when we arrived the host couldn't be bothered to let us in early to drop off our luggage. So we were stuck with luggage for 6 hours, and the office was close by. There was a welcome GLASS of port; our previous location left the 7 bottle. We had to clean up particles, dirt and hair, and wash the floors ourselves on arrival. Dirty. Very musty smell downstairs and dehumidifier ran and filled continuously. 7 spiders killed in our bedroom. We were bitten and complained, so the host left a can of bug spray. No other communication althought they did "clean" again at our day 7. Host needs to learn how to host.

Fantastic flat

Party of four adults. We had a great stay, location is perfect, quite street, walking distance to all the sights. Apartment is secure and stocked with everything you would need. Due to rain we didn't use the backyard. If we make it back to Porto we would stay here again.

Good location and nice space

Check in peocess was a bit choppy but the apartment is in a nice area to walk to many different places. Many restaurants available in the area. The outdoor space is nice and the apartment was clean. Stairs are very narrow but ofders a good space to relax and hamg out. Host was nice to work with.
