This apartment is located on the first line the charming historic "Ribeira" waterside in the UNESCO World Heritage area at downtown Oporto , with fantastic view of the River Douro, Dom Luis Brigde and the whole city historical center of Oporto. You are close the Stock Exchange Palace (Palácio da Bolsa), the Sao Francisco Church, Casa Infante D. Henrique, taxis station , sightseeing bus and all interesting places.

Five minutes for to arrive the wines caves . Across the Douro River are the famous Porto Wine 'Caves'.

This is a quiet apartment, very romantic and with great views (waterfront) unique and delightful to the senses.

Oporto is famous for its Porto wine . Visit one of Oporto's most traditional establishments, for a tour and tasting. Oporto is so picturesque: with the old wine boats plying the river in front of you, and traditional port lodges behind, the medieval old-town clinging to the opposite bank and the skyline punctured by the Cathedral and numerous churches .

10 minutes the fabulous bookshop Livraria Lello , the totally unique spectacle of an amazing interior architecture . the Harry Potter’s library in Hogwarts. In fact, J.K Rowling lived in Porto teaching English in the early 1990´s .

The UNESCO protected old-town, a veritable tangle of 14th century lanes tumbles to the river and a beautifully restored waterfront. Tiny antiquated shops are everywhere, and, straddling the river itself, are six stunningly intricate bridges, one of which was designed by Gustav Eiffel.

Luis bridge) across the Douro to Gaia (5 minutes walk) and visit the Port Houses of Ferreira, Sandemans, Croft and Barros amongst others where you can take a guided trip and sample the delights of Portugal's oldest export.

Take a day trip to Douro Valley inland and see a country that hasn't changed that much for hundreds of years - trips leave 8:00 AM and return in the evening with lunch provided.

Green environment: Porto and North Portugal has so much to offer your family for short breaks and day trips. There are many activities available to keep you and your family busy. Visit the Serralves Museum art gallery, the Clerigos Tower, the Bookstore Lello (one of the best in world for its beauty), observe the contemporary architecture in the Casa da Musica, walk between caves and taste a Vinho do Porto . Take trip inland up Douro River and see a country that hasn't changed that much for hundreds of years. (The river cruises do not run from 31 October until March. However, trips between the bridges are available all year round). The boats leave at 8:00 am and return in the evening with lunch provided.
Be at one with nature in the green vineyards during the Spring and the Summer. See the wine harvest from the beginning of September until the middle of October.

Fun in family: Visit SEA LIFE. Swim or surf in the ocean or visit our park with 80 hectares. Here you can run, jog, play soccer, cycle or have a picnic where the countryside meets the sea. You can jog for 12 km from our flat to Parque da Cidade, following the river and the sea, each step offering a changing landscape at one with nature – an impressionist painters dream

Braga with its Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, the City of new technologies.
Guimarães known as the place where the country was born – 'The Cradle City'. Coimbra, the city of students with its famous university, and close by the Roman Empire ruins at Conimbriga also the schitst / shale .
The trains are fantastic and are not expensive .

From the apartment : The better method to discover the city and achieve one overall idea it's one tour with the seighseeing bus . You need only walking 100 meters until Avenida Infante Dom Henrique . (Basically, you go to the Square Ribeira , walk up , and turn left. then walk straight ahead ...).
Choose tuck-tuck to discover each corner through narrow streets at medieval center.
In that way you will see close your eyes the typical life .

From the apartment with local transport: 
There are one bus station 70 meters from us .
There are cab place 100 meters .
Metro- You need walk five hundreds meters to take the metro station at São Bento Station underground ( there also the trains station with same name that it' s separate ) . Be aware that the principal station for you it's Trindade Station . For visit others interesting´s directions as Casa da Musica .
In that case you need exit to connect another direction .

From the apartment discover by foot :
Five hundreds meters around you reach all interesting places .
By foot and throught narrow streets you can discover the Cathedral . 
Bars at Galeria de Paris , Torre dos Clerigos , photography museum , bookstore Lello . Avenida dos Aliados .
Rua de Santa Catarina , popular market Bolhão and Magestic café. 
You have also at left the bridge the funicular that put you fast on high part the town . At exit if you go straight / ahead , you will meet the Santa Catarina Street . If you turn left you will have 200 meters the cathedral . Before you have the Santa Clara .
If you like climb steps . After funicular you have steps to climb up .

WHEN YOU COME BY CAR: 
You cannot park on our street . The street only have traffic to provide the shops and restaurants from 07:00 AM till 11:00 AM , only . Near the house there are 03 public parking´s . 
Near ... on the street's you pay around 1.20 euro per hour (it is free only from 7:00 PM till 8:00 AM ).

At home we speak English,Portuguese , French and Spanish and I understand Italian.

I live 12 klm far from apartment but we are ready for any kind of assistance and information.
