Quaint Retreat
The apartment was everything we expected. What you see in the pictures is absolutely accurate. The outside garden/side yard was just beautiful! Bob always answered any questions in a timely manner and was available by phone if we needed. The house is located in a wonderful neighborhood. We went for a long weekend and was able to walk to the park. Uber is readily available if you don't rent a car. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to stay here again in the future.

Great Stay
The house and property were beautiful. The apartment was exactly as pictured and as described. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bob was a great host met us at the door and showed us around. Loved the old 50's style refrigerator so cool, pun intended. Great experience.

Great spot!
Cute, cozy apartment in a nice neighborhood to walk. Close to a fabulous Cajun food cart (Dinner Bell BBQ I think) and Laurelhurst Park. The space was clean and comfortable.

Nice Garden and Retro Feel
Enjoyed our stay in this historic home’s basement apartment. The 50s decor was fun to see and use! It included modern wifi, washer and dryer and TV. Location in a lovely neighborhood and easy drive to restaurants and things to do in Portland.

Wonderful
Rented for my wife and I during the Chirstmas holiday weekend. Great location to where we were going for friend and family events. Great space, warm and comfortable. Great communication with the property owner, sweet people. Would like to come back during the summer so we could enjoy the beautiful outdoor areas.

2 Nights in Portland
My husband and I needed a place to stay for 2 nights near friends and family in Portland. This unique cottage apartment was perfect - interesting retro decor, all the amenities we needed plus more, and so comfortable. We'd stay there again.

Quaint cottage
Loved the neighborhood and the history of the home. Easy access to shopping and highways. Had some difficulty getting luggage up and down the tight stair. Also, had recent knee surgery, hate stairs.

Home away from home
Our stay at the cottage was absolutely lovely! Bob personally showed us around the property when we arrived and was there for any questions we had throughout the stay. The place itself is extremely cozy, and nestled into one of the quietest and most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. It was so restful, especially after full days of exploring.

Great Spot in Portland!
We spent a few days in Portland and enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful home inside and out! Great neighborhood location and close to so many great restaurants and shops. Enjoyed our accommodations and so many things were thought of by our host. Definitely will check availability for our next trip.

Charming property and location
Such a charming accommodation, and the property, including the gardens and the seating areas, were sublime. We really enjoyed our walks in the beautiful neighborhood. Really loved how comfy the bed was also.

Little oasis
My husband and I were visiting family in Portland and picked this property due to its proximity to our relatives. It was everything we needed and the outdoor garden area was beautiful, I started and ended my day in that sweet space! Highly recommend this property!

Peaceful Garden
This comfy basement apartment in the beautiful historic house was as advertised. We loved exploring Portland and surrounding areas then relaxing in the peaceful garden in the evening. Starting the day with tea and coffee in the morning was pretty good too. I have already recommended to friends planning trips to Portland.

Lovely cottage in great location.
Cottage was so cute, but the backyard is exquisite! So lovely to sit out there all times of the day. Bed was comfortable, quiet neighborhood, lovely area to walk. You would not be disappointed if you stayed her.

This property is very quaint and peaceful, although the apartment has no living room area - any lounging with a glass of wine has to be done on the patio which is very nice and full of plants and flowers, so it’s nice unless the weather is bad. If you are into old houses and architecture, this property is very cool.

A true gem
We can’t thank Bob enough for your lovely stay. The location doesn’t get any better & easy access to freeways, shops, & restaurants. A truly charming, comfy getaway whilst enjoying PDX & every amenity a traveler needs. There are two types of STR owners. Those that enjoy providing a great experience & those that are only in it for the profit. This experience was the first!

Great location with easy in and out and access to major arteries. Nice quiet neighborhood. Only 5-10 minutes to our son’s house. Owner was easy to contact if needed and was helpful. The gardens were gorgeous. We had a very relaxing stay.

Excellent stay in a historic area
The guest apartment was perfect for me as i was in and out my entire trip. The apartment is on the side of the gorgeous home and was clean, well-stocked, comfy and quiet. Located in Laurelhurst, you are nearby everything you would need and only 15 min from the airport. Bob was a great host and I enjoyed chatting with him for the few minutes before I left to come home. Washer, dryer, kitchenette, plenty of towels, pillows, a few snacks, water in the fridge and although I did not cook anything, the kitchen is well-stocked. Highly recommend if you are traveling alone. Safe neighborhood and beautiful to stay in.

Amazing Brick Hide Away
Beautiful brick house in a beautiful neighborhood. A large park is 3 blocks away. Walking distance to coffee shops, food trucks, bars, and restaurants. The unit is super clean. the host is very friendly, and the location is unbeatable.

Had a nice time staying at this house. Laurelhurst is super pretty and was close to a lot of good food and neat stores. The neighborhood was nice to walk through and it was just a great break from the snow in my neck of the woods. House was as described, clean and cozy.

Our son lives about 2 blocks away. His house was so full, we offered to rent a VRBO. Everything was perfect! This is such a great neighborhood, with beautiful park nearby and restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Vintage Stay!
What a wonderful and quiet experience we had. We loved the vintage yet modern feel of this space. The place was close enough for a short trek to the train system where it was so easy to head into Portland. A safe and quiet neighborhood was a welcome sight and would recommend this place highly!

Great stay at this lovely property!
We had such a lovely stay in this garden apartment. Bob was an excellent host, communicated well with us day of arrival and during the stay as needed. Property is stunning. Apartment has a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Outdoor patio areas are beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out there enjoying the space. Would definitely stay again.

I loved the decor of this adorable place! It was very retro. We enjoyed our stay here. The owner was extremely nice and was available if we needed anything. We used Portland as a base to drive the Oregon coast and visit the Columbia River Gorge. This place was perfect and bigger than we expected. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Portland
Bob was such a lovely fella, very friendly, accommodating and he even gave us a tour of the house, which is stunning. The space downstairs where we stayed had everything you could need and was very comfortable. As with the house, the backyard was lovely and perfect to unwind at the end of the day. The neighbourhood was one of the nicest I've come across. Highly recommend staying here.

Great apartment in a beautiful walkable neighborhood
The apartment is great and matched what was posted and we expected. Fully furnished and supplied, convenient to numerous bus lines, in an easily walkable and beautiful neighborhood. Bob was a great host and made us feel at home. Highly recommend for a couple.

Our home is located in a great neighborhood, easy to get here from the airport and close to many places that our guests enjoy going to. Public transportation is available within 5 minutes or less.
