Welcome to the ā€œNelson Houseā€ your low country, townhome, escape in a quaint neighborhood within walking distance of Port Royalā€™s restaurants, shopping, and festivals and within 5 minutes of The Sandā€™s beach, boardwalk, and boat ramp. The home is also within 10 minutes of Historic downtown Beaufort and Parris Island and thirty minutes to Hunting Island State Park beach!
The Nelson House is located within steps to the Cypress Wetlands walking trail, where you can enjoy a boardwalk stroll and abundant wildlife viewing!
When you are not out exploring, relax on the front porch and enjoy a glass of sweet tea or grill in your private backyard. The home has an open and bright floor plan with oversized bedrooms and cozy gas logs.
We purchased the Nelson House in 2024 and it boasted 65, 5-star reviews with its previous owner! Come enjoy the Nelson House and the best the low country has to offer!

We came down for graduation at Parris Island for our son. We were 10 minutes from the main gate on base. It was so easy to get there from the house. Lots of places to eat and the neighborhood was super quiet. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

This beautiful, well appointed, CLEAN townhome was the perfect home base for a visit to the area. Our trip was a Memorial weekend girlfriend getaway. The location is a short drive to Beaufort, Paris Island, and Hilton Head.We pulled up to the house which has parking right out front for 2 vehicles, located in a quiet neighborhood, walkable to a few restaurants and a nice playground.We were so happy we picked this VRBO unit. My friend and I kept commenting on how clean the house was. The pictures are accurate but doesn't capture the charm and beautiful decorations. The first floor has a comfortable living room/dining room. The kitchen was so well equipped and CLEAN. There is a half bath on the first floor as well. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots, pans that we needed to cook at home. The kitchen has a carafe/pod machine. There was also a good supply and variety of pods. Kitchen is updated and the washer/dryer combo is on the first floor as well. Upstairs were two bedrooms and a full bath. The bedroom to the right has a king bed that is quite comfortable. My girlfriend stayed in that room and kept saying how comfortable the bed was. The bedroom to the left also has a king bed with a firmer mattress (which I love) so I had great sleep as well. My room to the had the twin over regular bunk and there was great space in the room with all three beds. I didn't feel crowded staying in there. The house can comfortably fit 2 adult couples and 2 kids. You wont regret staying.

Our stay was the best air b&b experience I have had I think in ever it was like I left home and went home. My family and I went down for my daughterā€™s graduation from the marines in Paris Island so if you are looking to book for that reason this property is very close and very spacious for a two bedroom. The instructions were very clear I had no issues getting in the house smelled great when you walk in very very clean and well stocked. Things that I thought that I would need to bring ā€œalready thereā€ like tissue, paper towels, cleaning supplies, air freshener, trash bags literally everything. Everything worked ā€œWIFI JUMPINGā€ beautiful quiet street Literally no noise. I believe this neighborhood is filled with retired people just riding around on their golf carts enjoying the weather. One house down they have a trail that you can walk and see different types of birds and animals alligators turtles just amazing to see and people are there just to take pictures, Ahh it was great. My kid locked us out incidentally and I was able to get the host on the phone and get right in, in a matter of minutes. If I could rate this property higher it would be a ten star for me we had a great time and was very comfortable thank you so much.

The condo was exactly as advertised and more. It was beautiful, comfortable and accommodating in every way. We fully utilized every aspect inside and out. The home is very close to Parris Island for graduations and restaurants for enjoyment. Itā€™s walking distance to quaint town for food or shopping. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy, charming home in Port Royal. Only 10 minutes from Parris Island, which was great. Just a few steps away from the Cypress Wetlands where we could enjoy an early morning walk along the wooden bridges and pathways. The home was extremely clean and we had everything we needed for the week. Brad was excellent with communication and so pleasant. Highly recommend.

This townhouse literally around corner from probably best bird Rookery on the east coast. Cypress Gardens has amazing close up experience with all sorts storks, herons and egrets, plus turtles and alligators. And not an "amusement park" or zoo, these are wild animals that grown up with humans around them, so just ignore you. It also short drive to Beaufort and the ocean. Can even take day trip to Hilton head or even Savanah or Charleston. Townhouse itself was clean and modern.

This was our second time staying at this cozy home and we hope to be back soon. It has everything needed while away. It is very close to Parris Island which is the reason for our trips. The host is very friendly and quick to respond to questions. We highly recommend this VRBO.

This rental is fantastic, it met every need we had. Just an absolute pleasure to stay here, I would def stay here again and recommend to anyone. Having the boardwalk literally in your backyard was amazing. We went walking everyday. Sometimes twice a day. Just an overall fantastic stay. Thank you for making our trip wonderful.

Instead of trying to get several hotel rooms, I chose to get a home through VRBO for our family to stay together. We were attending my nephews graduation from Parris Island and it was a great place to be and not be on top of each other. Someone could watch TV downstairs while the others slept undisturbed upstairs. The home was very inviting, clean, comfortable and just as shown on the website. The property manager was very kind and quick to respond. He answered any\all questions completely. We only wish we had been able to stay a little longer to enjoy the area. The only downside (which has nothing to do with this wonderful home or owner) is trying to get transportation to and from airports, the base and actually anywhere. Thank you for adding to the wonderful time we had visiting your city.

Excellent place to stay while in town for my nephewā€™s graduation. Paris Island was minutes away. Plenty of amenities around for anything you need. House was clean and in a nice neighborhood. And a nice nature trail right next door that we got the check out. Would recommend this property to anyone

There were five of us that stayed here for a couple of nights for my sonā€™s Marine graduation. Itā€™s maybe a 6 minute drive to Parris Island. Great location from the island. The house has everything we needed, stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, linens. We didnā€™t have to bring anything accept a few groceries of course. Very clean. They do have WiFi at the house. My internet service on my phone would not work anywhere else besides at the house with WIFI. Everyone else I spoke to in that area also had bad cell service. The owner was fast to respond when we had a question. The house is right next to a walking wooden bridge where we got to see some alligators, that was really cool. Many of the people we ran into in the area were also there for a graduation. Port Royal Boat Landing is maybe a mile from the house. It has a beautiful walking bridge there where we seen a dolphin. It also has some beach front. It was a really nice stay. The town has an old timey feel to it which I loved. Iā€™m very happy we chose this spot for our trip.

Brad was very responsive when we had questions or needed to contact him. The house is very clean and had everything that we forgot to bring with us. The wet lands is a short distance from the house and very interesting to explore. We definitely would recommend staying here!

When visiting Parris Island Marine base for our granddaughterā€™s graduation, this place was the perfect rental. Super clean, convenient location & comfortable. Excellent!
