"We came here to celebrate our anniversary and found it very peaceful and serene! The rocks on the shoreline are unlike the rocks I’ve seen before in Lake Michigan, and it was fascinating to look through them! The lighthouse museum is walking distance away from the quaint little cabin. And we visited the nearby Port Austin to make the 7 mile round trip kayak trip to Turnip Island, where my boyfriend proposed to meA few things in the cabin (toilet paper roll, curtains and curtain rods, etc.) were...

"We have had our share of adventures booking through VRBO but this one made up for all the others. Christina was the perfect host and her house is just as perfect. She has thought of everything and made the home so comfortable for all of us. We actually hardly left the house because everything we needed was right there, the lake, we cooked and our family. "This home is absolutely stunning! Pictures do not do it justice. It is spacious, clean, and so comfortable. The kiddos were beyond excited to stay in the jungle room. They had a blast playing upstairs in all of the little nooks. I felt it was a good environment for the littles other than a few sharp edges that I needed to cover (the edges of the trundle bed and kitchen counters.) The glass top of the tv stand made me nervous but it did not end up being an issue. The path to the water was...

"We were in Port Austin for a wedding this weekend. Martha was a wonderful hostess, very kind and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable. We would recommend for a couple to stay also not bad with another couple that doesn’t mind a futon!! Two dogs, Blu and Scoobie bark a lot but are very friendly and super cute. Within walking distance to the farmer’s market, beach and bars/restraunts. Great location."

"Clean with a beautiful view"

"Fabulous location on the beach. We had a star show on the beach unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Cheeseburger fest was a blast and only a short drive. Would definitely stay there again."

"Great stay for our family of 4. Had everything we needed for the weekend. Also met some wonderful people staying in another cottage around the shared campfire. "

"My sister got married in a very low key ceremony recently and we wanted to throw her and her husband a celebration with their closest friends and family. This was the perfect place for hosting a gathering! There was ample space for food prep and plenty of room for guests to hang out, play games, and enjoy the beautiful weather. Couldn’t have asked for a better location and the host was so helpful in answering any questions we had."

The tiny house/cottage was brand new condition, very clean and fully stocked. Check in and out was a breeze. There are so many beaches within a few miles either way which we explored.
