Steps from the Beach!

When you arrive you will see there is enough space to park 3 vehicles at the front of the house. Underneath the house you will see a picnic area with tables and chairs where you can enjoy a meal with the family. This will lead you to the fenced playground in the back where the kids can play safely. Also underneath the house is an outdoor, enclosed shower where you can wash the sand off your feet when returning from the beach, which is only about one minute walking distance.

You will need to walk up a flight of about 20 stairs to get to the wrap around deck area where you will be able to enjoy beautiful ocean views, as well as a soft ocean breeze. Enter the home into a roomy living room which has 2 ottoman single hide-a -beds for additional sleeping and a big screen Roku television where you can enjoy your favorite shows under your own accounts. You will also enjoy the fully equipped and updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. As you make your way down the hall you will find the master suite has a king size bed as well as it's own bathroom and exit onto the deck. the 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. the 3rd bedroom has 2 full size bunk beds.

Please remember that this property is on a peninsula, and is therefore surrounded by water, which means there may likely be mosquitoes, especially during summertime. We do have the property treated regularly for this but canā€™t guarantee that it will be mosquito free.

Good but....

The place over was nice and walking distance from the beach. Down sides..... there was only 2 towels in each bath room. The dryer did not work, which is not good when traveling with kids. The agte latch on the deck was broke

All the dishes was dirty, the bbq pit utensils had black mold on them, bugs on the dishes and draws. Other than that it was a great stay, we liked the view of the beach.

Weekend Trip!

We enjoyed our stay overall. The upstairs porch is large with a nice view of the water and lots of chairs. We brought a rolling cart to haul our stuff to the beach - which is only about 3 houses down. I liked that there was a gated area downstairs and a gate at the top of the stairs so that my dog didnā€™t have to be on a leash the whole time. We didnā€™t really sit down there, but the space below the house is pretty large. Several tables with chairs as well as a bar area to set up a nice spread. Be sure and bring anything that you might need for cooking. Also the grill was rusty so if you plan to use it, be sure and bring tinfoil. And the house is currently for sale if anyoneā€™s looking for a rental!

Walking distance to beach

This house was perfect for a last min one night stay with my family during the kids fall break. Easy walk to the beach with a great view! We will be back. Owners were quick to respond and access to the property was easy. Great parking. Kids loved the swing set.

Perfect getaway

I was so impressed with everything about the house! Location, closeness to the beach, plenty of places for people to sit and watch the waves or the sunset. It was maybe a 2 minute walk from the house to the beach. The beds were very comfortable! I couldnā€™t find one thing to complain about at this house. We had so much fun here and I canā€™t wait to try to book for next year. Thank you to the amazing host!

Our home away from home

We came down for a much needed getaway from hectic big city life. I researched many houses and we have stayed in the area many times. This house was wonderful with a 3/4 wrap around deck with multiple seating scattered about. On the ground floor was a lot of seating and bar area along with 2 table setups. A secure chain linked fence surrounded the yard and even incorporated the stairs so the dogs could run down without having someone with them. There is a wood swing set and slide inside the yard. Rinse off hoses as well as downstairs shower. Kitchen was well appointed with the basics and had all we needed. We cook a lot! Need to bring your own ice.. and is a drip coffee maker. Beds comfy and tv in each room. Roku setup. Best beach combing in the area with close walk as well as drive access. Overall, we will rent this property again and we have stayed in many on the Bolivar Peninsula. This is our future home away from home. Shell

Great proximity to beach

The unit was a short walk from the beach, with an ocean view. It was clean and well stocked with towels. The beds were comfortable, and the owner was very responsive to any questions. We would definitely return.

Great location! I will say the kitchen was a bit lacking for supplies. The blender didnā€™t work and there were no spatulas or toaster. The toilet in the hall bath was broken but Al got someone out to fix it quickly. The fridge door was broken too, not a huge deal other than it being a pain to close every time we opened. The location was perfect, we rented a golf cart, and although not necessary, it was wonderful to have with 3 kiddos. I gave it overall a three bc the cleanliness could have been better as the windows were rather dirty! If youā€™re looking for a spot within a few minutes walk to the beach, this is it!

Great views!!

This was our first non beach front house. Views were fantastic! We could tell this was an investment property due to the lack of kitchen utensils/ware. There was no spatula, whisk.. etc.. Ants were in the living room when we got there, they didnā€™t bother us much but no ant spray. Our power was out for about 10 hours. The lantern was a charging one but we made it work!

Great price!

This was our 13th straight year renting beach houses all over Crystal Beach. This one compares nicely to the other ones of similar size. Even though this one isnā€™t front row, you still get a nice view or the ocean. We always have a golf cart so the proximity to the beach isnā€™t an issue. But even if we didnā€™t, it wouldnā€™t be a bad walk. We really like the location of this neighborhood. The beach never got super crowded, even for a holiday weekend (July4th). And itā€™s a quick drive to ice machines and the big store. All in all, it was a great trip and would gladly stay here again!!

2 Family Vaca

We were very excited to arrive for our annual Framily Vacation. We had an issue accessing the checkin information via VRBO site (I believe due to a VRBO issue) but I was able to text the owner and receive the checkin info quick. The house is located what I would call 2.5 row, but very close to HWY 87, you can definitely hear road noise while outside but not something that was bothersome to our group. The downstairs parking area was nice and clean, coming with 2 tables/chairs, plenty of bar space and stools. Upstairs the deck area had seating for ~ 6, including 2 child size chairs, and loungers. One of the loungers looked like it might need a little TLC, as it had a bit of a lean. The door stop on the top gate was loose, Iā€™m sure itā€™s a quick fix so I let the owner know. The inside of the home could use a little TLC- there were several areas with scrapes, gouges and areas in need of paint touchup- etc. The bunk room walls and door framing have seen some better days. It should be noted this is cosmetic damage and nothing that altered the ability to use the home or beds. The living area was missing one of the orange hideabed cots, so only one was available. The kitchen was missing some basic essentials- no toaster, no beaters for the mixer, lots of lids without bowls. A good inventory is needed in the kitchen to make sure it is equipped as described. No mosquitos was a plus! I would suggest a book with guidance on trash days, check out info, etc.
