One of a kind location!



The Space:

Davis Beach is a beautiful, 4 bedroom, 2 bath house located on the tip of Bolivar Peninsula, near the ferry and channel. You can sit in the living room or on the furnished deck and enjoy watching ships pass in the night. The quiet beach offers majestic sunrises and sunsets! This area is also a bird lover's paradise - you will not tire of seeing the many species of birds right in front of the house. This property sits next to the historic Fort Travis Park where you can enjoy a nature trail or explore the park.



You'll love the open great room, with a comfy living area, well-stocked kitchen, and a dining table that seats 10! For your convenience, there is an on-site washer and dryer, and complimentary high speed internet. The televisions are also equipped with satellite TV.

Three of the bedrooms have king sized beds and the 4th bedroom has both a king and a queen bed.



Opportunities to fish at the nearby North Jetties make this location great. There is also plenty of room to gather in the shade under the house and enjoy the company of family and friends, along with a charcoal grill to cook up the day's catch.



(Please be advised that this narrow section of the beach does not connect to the remainder of Crystal Beach. You must go to the first beach access road roughly a mile down HWY 87.)



Two small dogs (under 35 pounds) are allowed with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

Location was perfect

The location was amazing - I love to watch the ships and it was an amazing location for that and there was always people out fishing while we were there so I'm sure that if you like to fish this would be an ideal spot. The house was very nice and has 4 bedrooms all with king beds, the kitchen was well appointed and the house was really cute with the beach decor. I was a little disappointed that there is not a gate at the top of the stairs - this would have been helpful as we were traveling with my dogs and some of the lights downstairs were not working. Overall it was a great stay.

the house was great

was met by two dying roaches in the hall. the comforters need cleaning. Need to trim a path to the beach! loved the back covered porch and the views. since we were a small group there were enough chairs. we spent most of our time on the porch. would advise a gate on the stairs. overall we loved the place after we removed the roaches. you only get one toilet paper roll per bathroom. had to go buy more. no dish soap or laundry soap.

Perfect Spot

The house was beautiful and spacious. Was in a great area, easy to get to Galveston and Crystal Beach! The house was not properly cleaned before arrival, but overall the beds were great and all rooms had King size mattresses.

This property was in a great location the birds were unbelievably beautiful and the sounds and it's just a beautiful home if the rain would have stayed away it would have made a perfect weekend in the cold of course but besides that that's the only complaint I had cold and wet

Keep in mind

Needs a good deep cleaning. Ceiling fans are think with dust. Kitchen cabinets need a good cleaning especially across from the stove and handle area. Raccoon poop on deck.You could tell been there awhile had to make a dash to the dollar store for toilet paper and hand soap for bathrooms

Awesome view

House was very nice. We enjoyed our stay. The beach area in front of the house was littered with trash and various people camping out but that's not the fault of the property. Still one of the nicest houses we've rented.

Wonderful place to stay

This house is fantastic! We were 4 couples so the 4 king sized beds with bathrooms between them worked perfectly. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, etc. Charcoal grill is functional but needs replacing as the vents are rusted shut, but we made it work. The views are spectacular. Watching the ships line up to get into the port was a popular activity, whether from inside with the expansive windows or outside on the deck. There is a walkway to the beach in front of the house and the beach was clean and well maintained. There is a lot of privacy with the state park on one side and a vacant space on the other. The host was very responsive - we had to contact them when the kitchen sink backed up and they had a plumber there very quickly. This was a great place to stay!

First the pros: The check in was quick & easy process. I like the fact you can check in at noon. The location of the property was on point. Right next to the park with beach accessibility. The beach house was very spacious and accommodating for my family. They provide mostly everything you could possibly need. They also provide plenty of games for family fun night. Cons: If you are renting out your beach house, why not provide linen and just include in the price. I'm not sure who prefers to bring their own linen and towels with them. Also, if you're allowing pets to stay at your location, please provide a deep cleaning to the beach house. We found pet hairs throughout on pillows & sofa, gross. I was somewhat apprehensive to seat down before wiping down everything. Also, the sofa sleeper needs to be replaced. Sofa bed filled with stains. Some of the beds also had stains on the bed covering. Toilet paper was low so we had to make a trip to the store. There is also a shortage when using the oven on the right front. Overall a great place to stay. I will definitely come back if these things are address.

Great girls’ weekend!

Great set up/ property. Gorgeous sunrises, dolphin & bird watching, etc. You can hike over the dune, through the grass - bring shoes to trample the grass. Kitchen is well supplied. Ice/water from fridge doesn’t work, so bring your own! Drip coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, blender. All sizes of mixing bowls, pots, pans, baking sheets, sharp knives. We rented the linens - worth the extra $$. Suggest you bring: dish soap, paper towels, TP, plastic wrap/foil hand soap, tall kitchen garbage bags. There were (less than) partial rolls of paper products and no extra garbage bags. Would have liked to have a combination/code lock, because extra stops (going 15-20 min past the property when getting in late is a bummer - yes, #1stworldproblems) All in all, a great weekend.

Amazing location and beautiful home & beach!

The home is comfortable, loaded with everything you need to feel at home. Beds are comfortable, views of beach and gulf are amazing, and there was more than enough room for everyone in our group. The listing should be upgraded to say 4 king beds, 1 queen bed, and a queen sofa sleeper. Pictures online don't do justice to this home. Its much more beautiful in person. My family and I will be staying again.

Amazing property

We had a party of 12 and it was a great property that accommodated us fine. The location is amazing. Local store close by and the ferry just down the road to take you and your car right over to Galveston. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing location

Upon arrival we thought someone didn’t clean up after their pet. After unload all our stuff we took the time to spray the feces off the porch and stairs. Enjoyed the evening with family. In the morning we woke to go down to beach and the stairs were once again covered in feces. We cleaned it once again and started looking for the dog. We found a family of 3 raccoons. We had a good weekend with the family but did spend time each day cleaning up the mess the raccoons brought into the yard. Over all the weekend was great

Beautiful views, beach disappointing

Our stay was in late July 2018. The home was beautiful and well thought out. We chose this home because of what we thought from the description and reviews was beach front and we thought we could actually use the beach in front of the house without having to pack up and drive for our beach time. I guess it should be considered beach front but the beach on this part of the gulf is unkept. There was trash, glass and tent campers along the small stretch of “beach” which left it unusable to us. The water was foul in this area as well. I’m supposing that is from the ships coming in and out. We packed up everyday and drove to find a beach area, which was no big deal. We were just hoping to avoid that this time and be able to use the beach in front of our rental. The large yard could have been nice but was full of stickers. We also added the “linen” package through Swedes and felt like it was not worth the $$$. They were left in tubs outside the front door and were in very bad shape. Very old and worn out. When we called them about our concerns they simply said that there was nothing they could do for us about the linens and said maybe the beach would be cleaned up soon. They said that Crystal Beach is a party beach and it’s too bad people don’t clean up after themselves. I guess someone had a great time and left dirty diapers, bottles and trash for someone else to pick up. That’s sad and too bad for this property because it really is a nice home with a pretty view. Sooooo, if u are not wanting to use the beach in front of the house and are just there for the view, this rental might be great for you. We however, were hoping for something different for our family vacation. I don’t usually write reviews but just think people should know what they might have to deal with. 2 stars for the nice home and pretty view. Great place - would definitely go back again.

We had a wonderful time at Peace and Tranquility, we were the only people on the beach. The location is excellent. A totally relaxing experience. Me and my family so glad in that beatifull place . We will definitely come back. The owners have thought of everything the home is well stocked. I would highly recommend this property you will not be disappointed. Lovely quit and beautiful views of the beach and boats was prefect.

The house was gated and perfect; the living room was big and open with lots of big windows to enjoy the beautiful views of the beach and boats. Also has a big kitchen with the utensil you need the deck is all around the house and very comfortable to sit and relax with your favorite wine. It has tables underneath a grill a big field like to put a volley ball net "to bad we didn't have enought time" the house is very private and quit "definitely we will return" the owner has 100% of good taste of what it's to enjoy nature from the way the house was build 😊

Quiet, spacious, and simple

It was so simple to enjoy this spacious and quiet getaway! Four kids and five adults fit comfortably. The view, the quiet beach front, and the wraparound deck were our favorite features. The kitchen and game cabinet were well-stocked. Decor was clean and simple. Living areas were open. It was so seamless for the nine of us to live and play and relax together here. Perfect.
