Lake Sutherland is located in the heart of The Olympic National Park, 15 minutes' drive from downtown Port Angeles. The lake is local's best kept secret for water activities.

Venture out to the Olympics during the day and unwind with a glass of wine by the lakeside. Or have the whole family and friends gather on the over-sized deck and watch the active ones playing in the crystal clean water. There are many ways to enjoy.

★THE HOUSE★
The signature PNW cedar home was custom built in 2006 to fully embrace the beautiful natural setting and maximize the awe-inspiring view. Well-designed lighting and quality woodwork throughout the house. Some of the best features include:

✔︎Built-in high-quality speaker and adjustable volume in each room
✔︎Standby generator for peace of mind during bad weather.
✔︎Heated floor

★BEDS & BATHS★
The property can comfortably sleep 10 adults on two king size beds, one queen size beds, one double size bed and two thick folding mattresses. A toddler bedroom accommodates 2 kids. A baby room with a crib is inside of the walk-in closet of the master bedroom. There are two full bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs, with a bathtub and a standup shower. There are four bedrooms.

Bedroom #1
King bed with thick and comfortable mattress. Panoramic lake view via French door. Step through the French door onto the balcony overlooking the lake and Mt. Storm King. The bedroom has a very airy feeling with high ceiling and the balcony. Sitting on the bed, feel the breeze in the room with the French door open. A baby room with a crib and rocking chair is created inside of the walk-in closet. A smart TV is placed on the dresser.

Bedroom #2
King bed with thick and comfortable mattress. A study desk and a chair sitting below the window creating the perfect remote working spot with the most gorgeous lake and mountain view. Skylight windows on the high ceiling introduces plenty of natural light into the bedroom.

Bedroom #3
This unenclosed bedroom has a queen bed and a sliding floor-to-ceiling curtain providing both the privacy and ease of access to the large living room with panoramic lake and mountain view. Two nightstands and a closet provide some storage. The closet is also where the audio system sits.

Bedroom #4
Full size bed perfect for teenagers or adults. Two nightstands and a closet provide plenty storage.

Toddler Bedroom
There are two very cute toddler beds inside of the toddler bedroom. There is a very small bench in the middle perfect for a parent to sit on while reading bedtime stories. Two nightlights shaped like moon and cloud set forth the perfect ambience for a good night sleep.

Folding Mattresses
There are 2 6-inch folding mattresses. They are very comfortable and provides flexibility to the additional sleeping arrangement.

Bathroom #1
The upstairs bathroom has double vanities with plenty storage. The toilet is at the end. The built-in closet provides more storage. There is an anti-slip bathtub with standup shower setup. There are two doors to access this bathroom. One door leads to the master bedroom. The other door leads to the hallway to the toddler bedroom and the 2nd bedroom. Both doors can be locked from inside the bathroom for privacy.

Bathroom #2
The downstairs bathroom also serves as laundry room and mud room. It has a standup shower and a toilet at the end. The single vanity has a very large sink. Front loading washer and dryer are free to use with laundry supplies in the cabinet above. There is an exterior door making this space a functional mud room.


★Living Room★
This is the great room with panoramic lake view and direct access to the higher-level deck ornamented with blooming flowers, maple tree, birds, and butterflies. Two cognac leather sofas lining the large living room offer seating for 8 and can sleep 2 comfortably if needed. A gas fireplace will keep you warm during cooler weather. A 55-inch smart TV is placed on the cedar wood platform above the fireplace.


★Kitchen | Dining Room★
The fully equipped kitchen provides your favorite aromatic coffee drinks as well as everything you need to prepare delectable meals, ideal for gathering around the 10-person dining table next to the panoramic window that frames breathtaking lakeside vistas or enjoying al fresco on the spacious deck. Abundance storage space, well-designed lighting combined with high end appliances make delightful time in the kitchen.


★Deck★
The oversized deck has two levels.

The upper-level deck overlooks the lake with multiple seating areas and a dining table that seats 8. A Vision charcoal grill and ample seating make outdoor entertaining a breeze while you relish in the tranquil lake setting.

The lower-level deck is right on the water. A boathouse on the lower-level deck contains life jackets, kayaks, paddle board, and other toys for you to enjoy. It also has a floating extension in front of the boathouse. There are multiple sun lounges and umbrellas. Relax and enjoy the lake.


★Hangout Area★
This area next to the main upper deck offers an obstructed lake and mountain view. Sitting in the beautifully crafted Adirondack chairs around the fire pit with just enough lights dazzling from above to enjoy the peaceful evenings on the lake. Be prepared to be wowed by the sweet taste of the organic apples right off the apple tree in the fall.


★Kayaks | Paddle board★
We provide two kayaks and two paddles. We also provide one paddle board. You can launch the kayaks and the paddle board from the floating deck. Life jackets are stored in the boathouse. Make sure to wear one!

★Parking★
There are ample parking spaces on this 1-acre property. The lower-level parking space next to the house has room for 4 cars; the upper-level parking space has room for 4 more cars. There are two set of stairs down to the house from lower-level parking. Feel free to use either.

★Boat Launch★
We are not providing motorboats at this time. But for boaters, there is a public boat launch at the end of South Shore Road on the other side of the lake. The launch is about 2 miles drive from the house. You are welcome to launch your own boat there and enjoy the fun activities on the lake. You can also dock your boat at the house dock.

Lake Sutherland side neighborhood. Very quiet, very private.

The house is down the driveway on the right side of a private road. It is another 200 yards after GPS confirms arrivals. There is a wooden "308" sign. Take a right turn there. Plenty of parking on the gravel pad in front of the garage.

★Stairs★
As a lakefront house, there are about 20 steps of stairs from the parking spot to the entrance of the house.

★Pets★
We do allow pets during your stay with us. There is a $100 per pet one-time fee. You must notify us at least 1 day before arrival and pay the pet fee prior to getting the lockbox code.

Congratulations! You found it! Incorporate the words "Granny's Cafe" into your booking request or inquiry to show your host that you read the listing. It's my crafty way to make sure that you read the entire listing. Studies show that if you know what to expect you will have a better experience! Granny's Cafe is a fantastic breakfast and coffee shop 5 minutes' drive from the house.
