Located in a small, peaceful East Coast beach settlement, our beach front bach is the ultimate place to stay. The house is purpose- built for the view. It is modern and freshly decorated, with lovely macrocarpa flooring and features.
It is ideal for two couples or a large family, or even better for a romantic weekend getaway.
There are three bedrooms, two with sliding doors opening on to the deck that have double beds. The bunk room has 1 set of bunks, with a double at the bottom and single at the top and another single bed.
The well-equipped kitchen will allow you to cook with ease, or fire up the 6 burner bbq. The dining table seats eight and the lounge area caters for all.
There is a Metro, free-standing log-fire to cosy up too on winter nights with plenty of wood supplied to keep it stoked up. The flat screen Freeview TV caters for those who can’t go without it, but there are plenty of books and games to entertain the young and old.
The large bathroom / laundry consists of a shower, toilet and vanity, with a tub, washing machine and dryer.
Spend time on the sheltered 60 sq metre deck with uninterrupted sea views or play cricket on the lawn of the half acre, fully fenced section.
From here it is a quick stroll out a private gate onto the beach reserve. You can choose to swim, kayak and play in the stream -ideal for small children, or head on to the safe swimming beach within the bay. When you have finished, rinse off under the hot outdoor shower.
For the hunters and gatherers, Whangaehu has an abundance of paua and crayfish. The natural reef makes a perfect launching site for boats. It is a well known area for catching terakihi, blue cod and groper for the more adventurous.
At low tide you can walk for miles, exploring the rugged coastline in both directions. There are cliff walks for the more energetic.
Dogs are welcome - they love the space and freedom of the property and beyond.

Special conditions:
Maximum of 6 adults (3 couples) due to bedding configuration.
ALL rubbish must be removed from the property on departure.
Pets welcome - but to be kept outside as much as possible.
Rain water - restrictions in summer months for boat washing etc.
Please note that there is no cellphone coverage at the house, but a quick trip up the hill gives coverage.
Limited Wifi is available free of charge
Camping in Tents is not permitted.
