"We stayed at Lanelay Hall for two nights. Everything was excellent from the accommodation (lovely room) to the food in the GLOK restaurant to the staff - particularly the staff who were so friendly and helpful. We would fully recommend this hotel to anyone."

The room was clean and cozy, and the velux windows were a lifesaver at night. Though the area can be a little noisy at night.

"The hotel is set in a beautiful location. The staff were all very helpful. The room was bright & airy with views over the garden. The room & bathroom were spotless and the bed very comfortable.
The only negative of our stay was the shower. The water pressure was very low and the hot water took a while to filter through."
"Fabulous stay at this gorgeous BnB with charming hosts. Loved the spacious ensuite room with soaking tub. Breakfast was perfect and the shared living space (with breathtaking Brecon Beacon views) was so comfortable that H enjoyed posting up there for work. Would love to return for a longer (than 2 night) visit and check out more of the hundreds of nearby hikes. "
"This hotel was really easy to get to and only a 15 minute walk to the train station that can take you straight into Cardiff. All the staff were welcoming and lovely and the room was clean and the bed was comfy. "

Although quite a treck around narrow winding lanes to get there...it was definitely worth it. Lovely family-run bed and breakfast...I would highly recommend it. "Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Bar food menu is excellent. Rooms are beginning to look tired and need updating, especially the shower and carpets. The front entrance looks spectacular with pots and hanging baskets in abundance. Gardener deserves the highest commendation for the trimmed topiary and flowers. However, all staff make your stay extra special as nothing is too much trouble. Definitely the best place to stay in Cwmbran. "
