  • A "Casa Araújo" é uma excelente moradia, construída em 2014, situada num promontório, bem sobre a vila e a praia da Ponta do Sol.
    A vista é soberba, nomeadamente na área dos terraços exteriores; um terraço em frente à sala com cerca de 40 metros e outro maior num nível superior. Simplesmente magníficos! Lugar ideal para o café da manhã, ou para repousar, se deliciando com os fantásticos pôr-do-sol!
    Possui uma grande zona de barbecue, junto aos terraços, com wc integrado.
    O interior, amplo e luminoso, é composto por três quartos, três wc, cozinha, sala de jantar, sala de estar, lavandaria e bbq.
    Apresenta um estilo prático e jovial, onde a claridade e o sol, entram por todo o espaço.

Die Wohnung war genau so, wie beschrieben, vielleicht sogar noch besser. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein Auto ist definitiv zu empfehlen, ein Parkplatz ist direkt ein Haus weiter. Der Blick auf den Atlantik ist fantastisch - ich würde beim nächsten Urlaub auf Madeira sofort wieder buchen.

We especially enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace with the beautiful view. The host was very nice, gave us advice and accommodated our requests.

Fantastic quiet location with all your needs. Great host that can safe your day when needed. So much nice than Funchal. Highly recommend stay here.

great accomodation

Very nice appartment, very spacious, very clean and nicely furnished, with beautifull view on Ponto do Sol. Contact with Nelson and owner very good and very helpfull!Central located to reach all of Madeira.We can recommend it very much.Thanks again for very nice stay.

Vielen Dank lieber Nelson. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Der Blick vom Balkon ist zu jeder Tageszeit einfach unbeschreiblich schön. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir wurden herzlich mit leckerem Wein und Süßem begrüßt. Das Haus ist ziemlich neu und alles ist in gutem Zustand. Es gibt keine Spülmaschine, aber das war uns egal. Dafür gibt es deutsches Fernsehen (RTL).Der Ort mit seiner kleinen Strandpromenade ist unser absoluter Lieblingsort gewesen, wir haben fast jedes Restaurant getestet. Alle lecker. Es gibt am Strand auch eine kleine Strandbar, wo man den Sonnenuntergang mit leckerem Cocktail genießen kann. Ein Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Definitiv was für Leute, die Ruhe suchen und dem Trubel rundum Funchal entfliehen wollen.

Gorgeous place with a view

We loved our stay here. The location was great - could even walk to a small restaurant/bar up the street. Incredible view and the hosts were lovely. Beds were very firm but that was our only slightly negative thing about the whole place. We loved it!

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Madeira. We spent about 3 weeks in Ponta do Sol in this wonderful villa - Casa Araujo.We loved the view from the house. The house was clean, check-in and communication with host were excellent. he wifi extenders were replaced when we pointed out that they weren’t working. The location was very quiet. We were in great shape from walking into town and back daily during our 3 week visit. We’ll definitely miss the workout when we return home! Very convenient location for driving around the island. All the restaurants in Ponta do Sol were excellent. We look forward to returning to Madeira, as this was our first visit.

I don't normally do many reviews, but my wife and I were thoroughly impressed our stay here. The pictures are great, but they still don't do it justice. Everything was clean and tidy, and there's a lot of room throughout the house. The view from the balcony's-there's two-is truly amazing!Nelson was without a doubt, one of the nicest people that you will ever meet! He went way above and beyond to help us during our stay!

Beautiful view

House v clean, parking on owners driveway next door, fabulous welcome and treats, walkable from village but harder with family after swim! Lovely quiet, nice view, wifi difficult in all rooms, good air con. Recommended.

Spectacular Views

Place had an amazing view of the town and the host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and we enjoyed the deck and the view of the ocean. My first impression of getting to VBRO was a little bit tense but by the second day I felt comfortable with climb and the narrow road to the VRBO. Our biggest issue was with the WI-FI.

Excellent Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this picturesque home with its breathtaking views. Nelson warmly welcomed us and provided us with a list of recommendations and some wonderful treats! The home was comfortable with all the amenities you will require to enjoy evenings at home if desired. It was an excellent location to venture out and see the sites. However, you will definitely need a car and parking was available in a convenient location next to home. Overall, we loved our stay and would come back in a heart beat!

We came the second time here. All in one, perfect! You need a car too reach them, parking is free next to the apartement. We could recommend it very well. Thx the owner for the kindly welcome :-)

Hiking paradise

We loved our week in Madeira island. Ponto do sol was the oerfect appt to access every trail with no more than 45 min driving. Levada nova was our favorite hike and within 3k of rental. Rental was fabulous with million dollar views. The washer was so handy for muddy clothes after hiking. Check in/ out was easy. Parking was available next door. We would come again for sure! We used the recommended car hire from house manager. One thing about driving - you need a small car for the narrow roads but you need some power for the hills and sharp turns. This was one of the best holidays of our life. Thank you!

Very comfortable house and wonderful host!

This balcony view from this home was STUNNING, and the home very clean and comfortable. Our host was wonderful, and provided a lovely "care package" of traditional treats and wine, coffee, and home-produced eggs and bananas. Nelson was friendly, gracious, communicative, and provided recommendations and advice for our stay. For me, the highlight of our trip was hiking the Ponta do Sol levada - spectacular natural beauty of sea, mountains, waterfalls, plants and flowers. However, please be aware that there are sheer drop-offs, and this trail would not be suitable for young children or those who are not sure-footed. Thanks for a great vacation, Nelson!
