Pomas is a small village rich in history and tradition, featuring a castle and a 14th-century Gothic church. Stroll through its quiet streets and enjoy the small local shops: the grocery store-bar-restaurant and the pizzeria. The train station is right in the village (one-way trip to or from Carcassonne and/or Limoux for €1). It’s also an ideal starting point for walks or bike rides. It’s the perfect place to explore the region. The Medieval City of Carcassonne, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just 15 minutes away. Also nearby: Limoux and its rich local cuisine, the Abbey of St-Hilaire, the magnificent natural landscapes of the surrounding area, Rennes-le-Château and its mysterious treasure, the spa town of Rennes-les-Bains, and the picturesque village of Alet-les-Bains. If you’re a history buff, you’ll appreciate the village’s central location relative to the royal fortresses of Languedoc, which have just been designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Site (also known as the Cathar Castles or the “Citadels of Vertigo”). On the first floor: - An air-conditioned living room with a fully equipped open kitchen (refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, and espresso machine), a sitting area with a sofa, armchair, and smart TV, and a dining table. - A separate bathroom: walk-in shower, sink, and toilet. - Bedroom 1: one 160x200cm bed. Upstairs: - An open-concept space with two extra single beds for two children, along with a baby area and equipment. - Bedroom 2: two 90x200cm beds. - Bedroom 3: one 180x200cm bed with an adjoining, private bathroom (shower, sink, toilet) and a dressing area with a washing machine.
