"We were able to check in a little early, which we appreciated. The room was a standard hotel room with a wonky sitting area that was too crowded to be comfortable. The breakfast was not great - super small area, out of food, out of coffee, crabby employees trying to get through, no seats available... We were part of a group, and others were given a room where the thermostat didn't work. The hotel knew about it when renting the room, never sent someone to fix it after being informed, and...

"Ashley at the front desk was very helpful and nice to talk with. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the hot tub was not working for a few days. Also, they were redoing the parking lot and the staff redoing the lot parked where people paying to be there were parking their big trucks making it hard to park. It would have been nice if they would have parked in the back out of the way."

"We were put on the 6th floor. We were in town for a concert and when we returned the elevator was broken. My girlfriend has asthma and I have a bad knee. They gave us a refund and I thought that was cool."

The front desk staff were different - asking our every move, the Keurig cups are kept behind the desk (customers have to ask for them), and they did not treat the other staff very kindly - more than once and in front of several of us having breakfast. Restaurant (Gronks) next door is a good hamburger place."

"Our stay was perfect for what we needed! The check in and out process was simple and fast! The Breakfast was handy! The Staff was great! The pool option was great (hope to utilize next time). I will add that the architecture and layout of the rooms was a bit out of the ordinary. It's a bit hard to explain, but I defiantly got lost at first. "This is a pleasant modern motel on the outskirts of town. It has nothing special about it -- the room is basic, and functional. There's no in-room coffee or water heater. "A lovely hotel in a great location. Staff was welcoming. We walked out the door and were on the board walk. Absolutely beautiful! Breakfast was good with a variety of food selections. My reason for 4 stars is that our room felt damp. We had to have the AC running all the time. It was a hot, humid day in Duluth so maybe the AC just couldn’t keep up with it."

"The location was great with a view of the harbor and the lift bridge from the room. It was a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park and good food, museums, and shopping. We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, the William A Irvin ore ship museum and walked along Lake Superior. The buffet breakfast was great and everything was clean. This was a wonderful place to stay."
