Classic shack maybe a couple minor of tweaks
Was a nice place to stay, very clean for what it is and great location. Has had a nice little Reno on the living areas but the toilet and bathroom area is still very original, not that it really bothered us at all. The only thing we found annoying about our stay was the entrances. Road access was there but only if you entered from the beach faced balcony/pergola area and opened from the inside. The sliding door lock was very temperamental and probably needs a replacement as it’s definitely on its last legs. If they were to change that lock and place one also on the road facing door where the parking is would make ease of entry much easier, and maybe a new fly screen door on the front also as the original wooden one is very tight to open and shut, especially trying to be careful as to not void a bond refund. Again no front handle to open from road entrance on fly screen door. Other than the entry situation the kitchen could do with a cheap microwave. These aren’t complaints at all, rather tips for the owners to maximise return visitors. Nice spot and very clean, we’d come back. Cheers.

Great location, beach shack description accurate. Having to supply bedding, towels and toilet paper seems harsh considering the price. Shower dripped all day/night with faulty valve. Bathroom generally sub standard. No microwave a surprise. With a few improvements it would be a great place. We did enjoy the views and walking trails.

Cute place in a nice location. Short walk to the playground and walking along the beach
Easy to book and communication was great. The house was clean and tidy. Bedrooms are quite small but enough for our young family of 5. The kitchen utensils like pans and knives are a bit outdated but we made it work. The views are lovely and there some board games available under the coffee table

Shack with a view
We enjoyed our time in The Shack. It was as we expected, not 5 stars but comfortable and clean with a great view. Sunrises over the bay, pelicans and hooded plovers, playing in the shallows. There is not a lot to do at Pt Turton itself but relaxing and no pressure is good. Pt T. is a great place to use as a central point to visit other sites. Meal at the Tavern (crumbed whiting)...excellent. overall good value.

Holiday by the water
A perfect tranquil setting for us. An uninterrupted waterside view from the balcony, the lounge and the kitchen. An easy and beautiful walk at low tide to Flaherty's Beach. Wouldn't mind a firmer bed, but that's just a personal thing. Not too far from the beautiful spots at the bottom of Yorke Peninsula.

The best way to unwind before the festive frenzy season. Nothing beats that view with a glass in hand. Comfortable with the reverse cycle when unseasonable cold weather hit mid December. Magic Shack!

Magic little spot to relax right on the waterfront!
My stay at classic shack was wonderful. It's perfect for 4-5 people with an un-interrupted view you can enjoy for hours. Accomodation has a rustic feel and has everything you need to be comfortable and is great value for money. Sure there are bigger, more expensive places to stay but the classic shack has a great feel to it. I'll be staying here again for sure.

Amazing views
This place is as great as it seems in the pictures. The view is marvellous. Extra points for the lovely decoration. The jetty is just 20 minutes away by walking and the path borders the sea. We really enjoy our time there.

Beachfront Bliss
Incredible views from an older style property. My wife and I loved it. We didn't want "North Shore Sydney" with its accompanying price tag. This property reminded us of childhood holidays in the 70s when time was slower and life much less hectic and that's what we got. Loved every minute we were there- recharged the batteries and saw amazing views from all over the southern Yorke Peninsula. Will definitely come ahain- shame we had to leave.

The facilities were great the only issue we had was the TV and DVD weren't working and as we arrived on Saturday we weren't able to touch base with anyone until Monday to notify of the issue and an email was sent but didn't get a response.

What a great little place! Right on the beach.
We were a family of 3 with a little infant. The property was as described, right on the beach far enough away from the marina, caravan park and tavern that you didn’t hear any real noise and just got to watch the pelicans playing right in front of the shack. You can still easily walk to these places if you like. A short drive to Flahertys beach and you can sneak on at the Point Turton entrance (end of your street) and have half the beach to yourselves. Plus this entrance is far less brutal on your car if you don’t have a full blown 4WD. Good facilities, BBQ is great, beds comfy, big fridge, washing machine very handy. Only down points, coffee machine was broken, no fly screen on the main screen door either. A bit more info for anyone travelling with a small baby. It’s a relatively small place and with vents/slatts at the top of all internal walls for ventilation means light and noise carries throughout and there are some creaky floorboards to avoid. No blinds, just shades on the bedroom windows, so bring your portable blackout curtains. Bedroom windows also don’t open. Air con in main room is good but a bit difficult to get bedroom temp (and darkness) down during the day for naps. You have to shut the entire house up. As mentioned, no microwave so plan ahead. Overall though, we loved the place and would definitely come back probably just wait a year until our little one is a bit older. Thanks for the opportunity to share your slice of paradise and relax for a week!

Great location on the beachfront. Just the birds and an occasional walker. Just what we wanted. Quiet place mid week. Nothing fancy here but a good old Aussie beach shack.

A break from camping for a couple of nights
The property was in a great location overlooking the water - as described. It was a basic two-bedroom "Classic Shack" as named and described. It had been refurbished and was warm and comfortable. We walked up to the local tavern one night and ate in on the second. It was quiet at night and we slept well.

Magnificent Bay views from kitchen, lounge & outer decking areas worth the stay alone, beach is right at the back doorstep. Comfortable bed, sofa's & chairs. Well equipped with modern appliances. Ideally located close to bakery, jetty & tavern a short walk away.

Our family enjoyed 10 days staying at this location in January and found the accommodation to be perfect for us! The beds were very comfortable, the children slept better there than at home!! Two nights stay could have stayed another couple. View from the balcony area were just stunning, worth getting up at sunrise. Great walk along the purpose made path to the jetty & Tavern (Great food). Comfortable bed, and lounges. Nice big kitchen table. Would have liked a microwave but apart from that thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check out Warooka pub for meals too. Great time, thankyou.
