"I was very surprised at the beauty of this beachhouse and the fact that we could have our dogs with us as well as extended family. There was so much thoughtfulness...everything from plenty of dishes and pots/pans to scissors in the drawer which we used numerous times. "My family is from Palacios and we have stayed at several homes there and this is by far the best home we have stayed in. My mother passed away on Monday morning and we decided to still go to Palacios and celebrate her. I will definitely be staying here again. The property was fully furnished. Plenty of towels, kitchen essentials and games for the kids. Not to mention the cable was a plus."

"I rented this place for the pier, which I thought met all of my qualifications for a perfect fishing pier out into a bay. And it did! Over about a 48 hour period I caught between 30 and 40 speckled trout (about 1/3 on lures under lights, and the rest on live shrimp one afternoon). Unfortunately, they probably averaged about 13 inches, so they all went back in the water. Also maybe a dozen gafftops, about half of them legal. Lotsa fun."

"Customer service was very welcoming. There is a $50 incidental deposit required that was not mentioned at time of reservation on hotels.com. The room was really clean. AC worked so good in this heat. The bay behind is peaceful. There are grills and tables out back by the bay, we didn't use but they look in good condition. Room was really clean and comfortable. The only bad thing in the room is the slow draining water in the shower, so if you take long showers expect to be in a pool if water. "
