Tolles Haus und Super Gastgeberin.

Sehr gut . Nur keine Kaffeefiltermaschine vorhanden. Haben uns eine gekauft. StĆ¼hle waren defekt. Wurden umgehend ausgetauscht. Elektoschalter fĆ¼r die Markiese mĆ¼sste erneuert werden . Gastgeberin hat sich sofort immer um alles gekĆ¼mmert. Sonst top.

Gepflegtes Haus mit Pool und Meerblick

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist gepflegt und hat alles, was man braucht. Ɯber einen FuƟweg mit Treppen ist man in 5 Minuten an der Promenade und am Strand von Podgora. Im Juni war es noch recht ruhig. Uns hat es super gefallen, wahrscheinlich kommen wir wieder.

Great position for walking to town

A little upset in that the photos of the en-suite bathroom were not quite what they seemed. Very very tight and smell coming from the drains. Coffee machine didnā€™t work, villa felt like it wasnā€™t really ready for guests. Tiny pool towels, only 2 chair covers for pool chairs, pool edge was green. The outside shower didnā€™t work, grass wasnā€™t cut. There was a dead rat in the garden and cats outside crying night and morning. As Iā€™ve mentioned just felt like it wasnā€™t really ready for guests. Plus note that air conditioning was great, the outside table was great for sitting under and washing machine was good. Private parking was a bonus too

Perfect location in a lovely resort

We really enjoyed our stay in Podgora. The Villa has excellent outside space with a great terrace and the best pool weā€™ve ever had! The pool got the sun all day and was a lovely temperature. We had fun with the tide machine. There are stunning views of the sea and the mountains, plus ripe figs from the fig tree. We counted 119 steps down to the front, popping out next to Roka restaurant (very good and beautiful to eat right next to the sea). You can go right to the very pretty marina, and further round to Plisivac beach (our favourite, get there early for good spots under the pine trees, and try Bistro Luce for lunch). Going left takes you to the main beach where you have inflatables, parasailing etc. But still with a very relaxed quiet vibe. Lots of places to eat (we thought the food in 2 Monkeys was the best), including pancakes and every ice cream flavour. There were hardly any other Brits which personally we enjoyed! The weather was mixed, we had a bit of rain most days, and a few thunderstorms, presumably due to the proximity to the mountains. In between it was pretty scorching so we didnā€™t actually mind a bit of respite. And it does mean it is very green. We didnā€™t enjoy Makarska which we found to be quite down market compared to Podgora, and extremely chaotic in the evenings with constant busy traffic along the main tourist streets. We visited for the supermarket and found Plodine to be the best. We would definitely return to Podgora, which we loved, and we donā€™t think youā€™ll find another Villa with such a great private pool so close to the beaches and restaurants.

Traumvilla

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in dieser tollen Villa von Anfang an genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Iva war schon vor der Reise total angenehm. Sie hat uns die Anfahrt erklƤrt und hat auf Nachfragen sofort reagiert. Die Villa liegt oberhalb von dem schƶnen Ort Podgora, der fĆ¼r uns perfekt war. Es gibt einige gute Restaurants und Bars, SupermƤrkte, usw. Der Strand in Podgora selbst ist auch schƶn, rundherum sind aber auch einige sehenswerte StrƤnde. Am Strand gibt es viele AktivitƤten: Parasailing, WasserhĆ¼pfburgen fĆ¼r Kinder, Standup Paddling und vieles mehr. Nur 10 Autominuten entfernt ist Makarska mit vielen groƟen SupermƤrkten und einer sehr schƶnen Altstadt, in der man abends auch sehr gut essen gehen kann. Das Haus war total sauber, hat zwei Badezimmer, zwei liebevoll eingerichtete Schlafzimmer und eine KĆ¼che, in der einfach alles vorhanden ist. Die GerƤte sind hochwertig. Vor allem der KĆ¼hlschrank mit Wasser und EiswĆ¼rfelfunktion wurde von uns an den heiƟen Sommertagen dankbar genutzt. Auch die AuƟenanlagen mit dem groƟen Pool (mit Gegenstromananlage) und riesiger Terasse, alten OlivenbƤumen, LimettenbƤumen, usw. laden zum WohlfĆ¼hlen ein. Auch der ganze Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Haus wurde nach einer Woche komplett gereinigt, neue BettwƤsche wurde aufgezogen, vorher gab es neue HandtĆ¼cher und PooltĆ¼cher. Auch die Poolfilter wurden gereinigt. Das Hausmeisterehepaar, das vor Ort diese Aufgaben Ć¼bernimmt, war total nett. Wir haben uns einfach nur wohl gefĆ¼hlt und werden bestimmt noch einmal wieder kommen. Vielen Dank an Iva fĆ¼r unseren perfekten Urlaub!

SkĆøn efterĆ„rsferie i Podgora: Old villa olive

Vi havde en rigtig dejlig efterĆ„rsferie i Ivas skĆønne feriehus, hvor der er smuk udsigt til bjerge og ned over by til havet. Der blev brugt mange timer i den skĆønne og opvarmede pool. Vi hĆ„ber at fĆ„ mulighed for at komme tilbage.

Tolles Haus und Terrasse, groƟer Pool, top Lage. Selten so ein sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus vorgefunden. Abends haben wir gerne die milden Abende auf der Terrasse inklusive atemberaubender SonnenuntergƤnge ausklingen lassen. TagsĆ¼ber genossen wir den weiten Meerblick und die in Podgora Beach und Podgora Marina angebotenen sportlichen AktivitƤten ( , uvm.). Es sind mehrere kleine SupermƤrkte, Restaurants und Bars in der nƤheren Umgebung fusslƤufig zu erreichen.Der Kontakt zu Iva lief entspannt per WhatsApp. Vielen Dank fĆ¼r die tolle Zeit!

Tolle Villa mit Pool

Wir hatten einen super Urlaub in dieser schƶnen Villa mit Pool und Meerblick. Die Kommunikation mit Iva lief entspannt Ć¼ber whatsapp. Ein Reisebett und Kinderhochstuhl fĆ¼r unsere Tochter wurden gestellt und befanden sich in einem einwandfreien Zustand. Der Weg zum Meer ist sowohl zu FuƟ Ć¼ber die Treppen oder mit dem Buggy entlang der StraƟe schnell gemacht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir freuen uns schon auf den nƤchsten Urlaub in Podgora.

Fantastisk hus

Vi har holdt 6 dages ferie med vores 2 bĆørn i dette hus og vi elskede stort set alt ved det. HĆøjdepunkterne for os var specielt den fantastiske havudsigt og beliggenheden og den store pool (poolen er meget stĆørre end pĆ„ billederne). Det er helt sikkert ikke sidste gang vi var der.

Grwat location, super villa, good sized pool. Near to the road, but a good compromise if ypu want to be walking distance from the beach and restaurants. Owners were very kind and helpful. Split airport is 90 minutes away

Alles in Allem war das ein gelungener Urlaub in der Villa Old Olive! Das Haus ist sauber und ordentlich. Der Pool und die Terrasse ein Traum! Iva ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Wir haben sie zwar nicht persƶnlich kennengelernt, aber sie stand immer zur VerfĆ¼gung per Whats-App oder Telefon. Wir kommen auf jedem Fall wieder!

a home from home!

This is a nice, well equipped modern villa. It is well suited for couples or pairs of couples. Two nice size double bedrooms one with on suite. It is located at the top of hill (approx 118 steps) which may prove difficult for less mobile people. There is off street parking and the local beachfront cafes and restaurants are accessible if you need to use a car with parking at 10 Kunas per hour. (About Ā£1) We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

Found it!

We chose Podgora this year, on account of bringing along our son and his fiancĆ©e, who both enjoy snorkelling. Podgora has a reputation for offering good snorkelling possibilities. And so we needed to find a nice house, and fell for Iva Pezers villa. And boy, did we find the spot we were hoping for! One step through the gate and we were blown away. The views over the Adriatic Sea in one direction and the Biokovo mountain range in the other is breathtaking. And inbetween, thereĀ“s this absolute gem of a house, with a glistening blue pool set among lemon trees. One hundred and twentyfive steps will take you down into Podgora centre with itĀ“s many restaurants and cafes. Trekking back is slightly tougher, but hey - the stairs lead up to heaven, so whatĀ“s the problem? The house itself is immaculately clean and has everything you could possibly hope for with a well equipped kitchen and cool, airconditioned spaces including a beautiful sitting room and two spacious bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Outside, there is a large patio that is quite problematic - it will have you thinking that you may want to spend the entire holiday there, under the gorgeous shades, instead of venturing out to see a bit of Podgora. The solution is to have looong breakfasts and coffee breaks before undertaking such adventures. We established a kind of rhytm along the way. It was much like the slow, leisurely pulse of the Adriatic Sea. We did that breakfast, and then we took to the beaches to the north, secluded and less frequented, had some nice snorkelling there, came back, had a shower and a dip in the pool, then back we went to the beach... It is a kind of life that one can get used too. And no house can offer a better backdrop for this kind of existency than this quaint and stunning villa. Unless you have a very good excuse not to or unless we have re-rented the property - go there!

Beautiful place in a beautiful country

We stayed here with our two young children and loved every minute. Itā€™s in an ideal location with easy access to the Main Street/beach using either steps or a road (with pushchair). A welcome walk after a nice lunch or dinner. Pool was welcoming although the weather wasnā€™t warm enough to use it as much as weā€™d like! Overall, we couldnā€™t have chosen a nicer place to stay during our first visit to Croatia.

Clean. Good A/C. Nice pool. Beautiful view. Adored the old olive tree.

Two of us stayed 5 nights mid-Sept. Very relaxing. Went up the ladder to rooftop for wide-open views of sky, water, boats, and distant islands. Sunsets supreme, with a few gnats (bug repellent helped). The fruit trees are awesome, and add to the privacy. Rosemary growing on the patio was delicious in our baked chicken. Easy and picturesque 2-hour drive down Highway 8 to Mostar, Bosnia Hercegovenia, a doable day trip. Delicious burger at Clementineā€™s Pub on the waterfront at Tucepi which is next to Podgora. Also marveled at the tiny church of St George dating from 1311! Liked the quiet, peaceful way people hung out at the water, lying on the small pebbles. Not at all loud, enjoying the clear water, the sun, each other. Croatians appear to be lovers of simple joys. We flew into Split, got groceries at Interspar-City Center Mall there. Thereafter at Lidl in Makarska. Best to get provisions before you get to the house, so you can get on with pure relaxation. House already had nice ā€œlittle touchesā€ - shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, spices, coffee, plastic wrap, paper products. Just really needed aluminum foil, matches, and olive oil for grilling out (and the bug repellent). We are age 60+, only walked one time down, then back up, the hill taking stone steps into Podgora. Truly hot and exhausted by this, but between the welcoming pool and A/C, recovered nicely. Did not make it to Dubrovnik, but found the coastline south of Podgora absolutely stunning, and wished weā€™d given it more time. Thanks again for a vrbo that checked the boxes for peace and quiet!
