WELCOME TO SUNRIDGE LODGE

Sunridge lodge is a luxury holiday cottage based in the beautiful South Hams region of Devon.

Originally a dairy barn, this Devon fishing lodge has been completely converted and lovingly furnished with a bespoke modern interior. The result is a perfect marriage of rustic charm and modern comfort. Outside this delectable Devon getaway, you are met by your own private hot tub. The perfect antidote to the stresses of modern life, simply lie back amid the warm bubbles and let your cares dissolve into the air while you gaze out across the pretty patchwork of (Sunridge) fields and the sublime Yealm Valley.

Once back inside you can flop onto the comfy sofas and get the vintage log burner fired up for the cosiest of cosy nights in. If the large HD Smart TVs aren’t doing it for you (what’s wrong with you, by the way?!), you can supersize your evening Across the lodge garden space, The Hub houses an expansive 5-metre home cinema and retro arcade games system with over 4000 games. See details and images below. However you choose to spend your evening in, at Sunridge Lodge you’ll never be less than supremely entertained and sumptuously comfortable.

A short stroll from Sunridge Lodge is our private carp fishing lake. Teeming with carp of all varieties you can angle for a nibble or simply kick back on the lakeshore and let the beautiful natural surroundings work their magic on you. The fishing lake area is shared exclusively between our Sunridge Lodge, Sunridge Treehouse & Sunridge Geodome guests.

The fishing holiday lodge is located in South West Devon, close to a number of beautiful South Devon beaches, as well as Dartmoor National Park and many historic hamlets and villages brimming with local character. Please have a look at the surrounding area for ideas and inspiration.

INSIDE:

Sunridge lodge combines modern interiors with a rustic exterior in keeping with its original river stone construction. Inside, this Devon family holiday cottage is filled to the artfully exposed beams with tantalising features - a super-sized HD TV snuggery equipped with an XBOX games console/DVD player not least among them. The bedrooms have their own Smart HD TV and downstairs is a luxury drench power shower. If we still haven’t got you (and I must say you take some wooing) there’s also WIFI, a modern German kitchen, under-floor heating, a log burner, Bluetooth speakers...(Right, that’s enough, if I still don’t have you, I don’t want you...)

The lodge provides a small library of classic movies and games to get you started but feel free to bring your own personal favourites with you...

OUTSIDE:

The grounds surrounding Sunridge lodge provide a glorious rural backdrop for your Devon escape. Immediately outside your front door is a landscaped garden space complete with a mood-lit, 5-seater hot tub. Come rain, shine, or even winter snow, a dip in the hot tub’s mumbling warm water is guaranteed to soothe even the most smarting soul! Magic Sunridge memory: lying in the hot tub on a chilly night gazing up at the star-flecked Devon sky. Priceless!

Accessible from the sheltered garden (or from upstairs in the lodge), there is a large elevated deck space overlooking the lawned hollow and hot tub which is perfect for al fresco dining, while the lodge garden space makes a great location for picnicking and sunbathing (or shaded reading beneath the cool tree-dotted hedgerows). We also have a Webber gas barbecue for those clement evenings when the outside is simply too pleasant to resist. Please bring barbi tools with you.

The lodge grounds are home to an abundance of wildlife. From the vast array of bird species outside of your lodge windows and the hilarious acrobatic squirrels frequenting the surrounding trees, to the more nocturnal foxes and badgers, you will never be truly alone while staying at the lodge. These inhabitants are all friendly we promise…

Sunridge fishing lake is only 100 meters away and is home to a large group of swarming carp. On sunny days they enjoy basking on the surface of the lake enjoying the warmth of the overhead sun. But these aren't the only aquatic inhabitants at the lake. In early spring, on mild days, you may hear what sounds like a distant motorcycle scramble, but don't be alarmed that your relaxing stay has been sabotaged, this is merely the chorus of the common frog.

There is nothing more therapeutic than staring into the natural golden lake waters and watching nature at its best.

THE HUB:

Just a few strides from the lodge, across your garden space, is a secluded home cinema/entertainment room.

This glorious multifunction hub (exclusive to the lodge guests) is for those wanting an extra entertainment space. With a state-of-the-art 4K 3D Ultra HD projector, combined with the very latest Dolby Atmos sound system, you can enter the world of film in the most immersive way possible! The screen itself is enormous, spanning 5 metres in diameter. Why not grab some popcorn and kick back and relax with your favourite movies. With an XBOX games console, Ultra HD Blu-ray player and Smart Enabled 50 Inch HDTV with Freeview, the hub is filled to the brim with AV gadgets! 4 sets of 3D glasses are included and a small selection of games and movies to get you started. Feel free to bring your own Xbox games or movies (blu-ray is the best quality on such an expansive screen).

There's also a retro arcade machine included in the HUB with over 4000 classic games to keep the kids entertained (or adults!). Complete with 2 stools you can battle out the classics in 2 player mode!

Even though this funky space doesn't house a toilet (for those wanting to spend an emergency penny), it's only a short hop skip and jump back to the lodge itself. On sunny days (fingers crossed), expansive patio doors can be opened up onto a generous decked area complete with a garden bench and table. Here you can sit and relax in the sunshine, or seek dappled shade from the overhanging trees. For those guests just wanting to hide away from the world outside - close the blackout curtains and the projector will do the rest! The Air Con system will also keep you warm (or cool), depending on the elements!
