With all of the comforts you would expect and more, this villa boasts a private pool right outside, a full kitchen to whip up tasty meals in, and a hammock two swing in with a favorite cocktail. When days heat up, simply walk down to the shared pool or lazy river and enjoy the salty breeze and sun-kissed skin. Venture a little further, and you will find yourself on the pristine white sand of the private beach where you can easily post up for a picnic or afternoon of reading with the sound of the tide in the background!

This rental, part of the gated Villa Sol Resort & Spa, is a short walk from the golden sands of Playa Hermosa, as well as a variety of bars, restaurants, and a convenient mini market. Guests can also enjoy access to on-site restaurants, Ping-Pong, foosball, a large shared pool, and a resort spa. The complimentary resort shuttle can transport you to the pool, the beach, and several local restaurants, so you'll never have to walk. If you do, you'll be less than a mile from a variety of eateries, shops, bars, and recreational outfitters in the town center. If you're looking for a change of scenery, you'll also be just two miles south of Playa Panama's calm waters, four miles north of Playas del Coco, and 45 miles south of Santa Rosa National Park (a known nesting spot for several species of sea turtles).

Clean but not fancy.

The place was very clean, and Vacasa staff (on-site property manager) were responsive. The interior furniture is tired and the property could generally use a refresh. Beds and pillows are of low quality. In terms of luxury, I would rate this as "3 Stars out of 5" for those reasons. The advertised laundry facilities were not available during our stay, and we had no advance notice of this problem. The shuttle service to the beach was irregular and undependable. When there WAS a shuttle there, it worked fine. Do not bother with the on-site restaurant options. We ate one meal at the main restaurant on our first night, and it was a Buffet only. The "hot" food was lukewarm, and not very appetizing. The wait staff did not speak English. We also tried the CondoVac pizza restaurant near the main gate, and it was TERRIBLE! They even used canned mushroom to top the pizza. I wish that somebody had warned us in advance, as we would never have wasted the money. There are several excellent private restaurants nearby, and they were all a much better bet. "Ginger" was so good, we went twice that week. The plunge pool was nice and we appreciated it. The location of the villa is very close to the beach and only a short walk to stores, restaurants, and other services. The beaches were beautiful, and the weather was fantastic. We did several day trips and they were all wonderful. Overall, we had a very nice holiday.

This house is tired and needs work - would not recommend

There were multiple issues. First, the listing says to tell Kevin when we’ll arrive. We tried via phone and text multiple times with no response, but when we got there we found that we just checked in at the main desk. So there was no need to contact him at all. When we arrived at the house, we found the bedspreads to be stained in multiple places, which made us question the cleanliness of the sheets, towels, etc. We called and msg Kevin but he didn’t reply. The pillows were the flattest pillows I’ve ever seen. We ended up putting 2 pillows in one t-shirt to keep them together and ensure that our faces were on something clean. The walls beside the beds were filthy. Called Vacasa. Sent someone the next day w pillows. Then the next day, they brought 1 bedspread and tried to wash the walls. The light/ceiling fan in the main bedroom would flash several times every 3 min or so. The toilet in the main bathroom would not shut off and moved when you sat on it. The internet network was not the one listed on the sign in the house. We were able to get on a different network but it was not locked, which made us uneasy. The floor lamp in the living room was broken and would not stand upright. The upholstery on the kitchen chairs was filthy. The internet went out completely. Emailed Vacasa. Sent someone the next day after I emailed again. Not able to fix it so gave us password for neighbor’s network. Overall, house needs attn (repairs/cleaning) and Vacasa needs to respond more quickly.

Many benefits staying at villa sol 35

Villa sol 35 provides a sheltered patio with small private pool for quiet soaking. It also provides access to large shared pool with bar for socializing, exerc I sing and lounging. The shuttles is very quick and gives you access to beach, pools and restaurants.

Upon arriving, there was no ice, no hot water, and the property manager was unresponsive to our requests. Good location - walking distance to the beach. Overall was a nice place to stay, but there wasn’t much help throughout the stay.

Pretty good for what it was. No hot water was a bummer though.

So I booked this property for my sons 10th birthday celebration trip to Costa Rica. The property was exactly as listed however there were a few hiccups I feel that need to be said. The first had been our check in process. We were at the security gate trying to check in and our names were not on the list. We then had to wait in the car for almost an hour while the security guard had to call Vacasa (the property management company who owns this property) and wait for the gaurd to recieve an email clearing us as the weeks renters. After we got cleared we went to front desk and got the keys. The property was just like the pictures and in a decently centrally located area in Villa Sol. Inside there was a few other hiccups one major one being was absolutely no hot water at all. Being from ME and trying to take a shower in the evening left me shivering badly. The next morning I called the contact you call during the stay, told them about the water and they had maintenance come check it out. Maintenance turned the water pressure up but still resulted in no hot water. It did not get better the entire length of the stay. :( Another little thing to note is the beds are fairly hard but do the jobs. The rooms are small and fairly cramped with the dressers in there. Also when you sit in the hammock you may hit your butt against the bench underneath hammock. Other then those issues it was a pleasant stay. We had the neighborhood cats come visit our back deck, and racoons tried getting into our trash several times. But overall the place was clean, working applicances, no rust on shower caddys or in other places in villa. The location is very close to the main pool and the whirlpool. The price was decent for what you got and the concierge was helpful. The shuttle to the beach was nice espessically in the humid heat. If you get the chance walk down to Ginger and eat there as it was amazing! Order everything! Some of the places listed in the villa guide book are no longer in business, so do some reasearch yourself on places around. Also most places in Coco can deliver to the vila you just gotta meet them at the gaurd gate. All in all the villa worked for its purpose for this trip just majorly wish there had been hot water. The 3 bedrooms were much appreciated with me, my friend, and my son having our own space. Also if you get a chance to go to Diamante Adventure Park do it!
