Highly Recommended

What a perfect spot for our Playa stay! Close proximity by car to restaurants, beaches, cenotes and ruins. We enjoyed the property so much, it has every accompaniment family could ask for! Great hosts, highly recommended.

Wonderful House with Pool and 1st floor patio

The house is modern and in good shape. Wonderful garden with palm trees and relaxing patio on 1st floor. Big saltwater Pool for swimming. Good equipped kitchen. BBQ was Damastes and git replaced after one day. The Hosts Naty & Eric were very helpful by the prebooking and during our stay. They give us good recommendations. Thanks a lot. We had a car which is helpful, Downtown Playa del Carmen is 20 Min Drive. We can recommend the House, if you plan also to do some sightseeing.

The Perfect Family Home

Eric and Naty could not have been nicer and more helpful to make our stay so enjoyable. The house is spacious, the terraces are plenty, the palapa is a wonderful room to hang out in with family or to curl up on the hammock with a good book and swing along with the breeze. The salt water pool is steps from the kitchen. The ledge around the pool is an added safety feature with little ones around. There is a large table with an umbrella outside the kitchen were we took our breakfast, listening to the many birds who call Playa del Carmen their home. Eric came three times a week to clean out the pool. It was a joyful and safe feeling family holiday in their home and community. The home is close to the downtown area where there are many lovely restaurants and shops and far enough away to allow a feeling of quiet, rest and safety. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Mia

A beautiful place and great hospitality

The swimming pool is a really nice feature. The house is very well equipped with the latest appliances; but most importantly Eric and Neta were terrific hosts. They kept the place in great condition and were very helpful in recommending local places to visit.

Wonderfully Relaxing

We (2 sets of parents with two 9-month old infants) really enjoyed our time at this property. It's quiet and the salt water pool was the perfect temp for all of us to enjoy throughout the day. Renting cars was easy and we didn't have any trouble getting food from the grocery stores or heading downtown for dinners. There are a few restaurants that we enjoyed that was walking distance which was convenient some of the nights. Naty & Eric was wonderfully kind and available. We didn't watch any TV, but they had huge TVs in most of the rooms. We were often in the pool in the shade all morning and avoided the sun during midday and would relax in the upstairs patio. All the other positive comments all were on par! I'm happy to recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of house!

This property was AMAZING!!! It’s perfectly located. It’s in a quiet area away from the busy Playa del Carmen downtown area, but it’s a short 15 drive if you need to go. The amenities that are listed in the posting are exactly what you get in the property. The pool area was the hot spot for my family. They could not get enough of it. The beach is a 20 min walk/ 5 min drive. There are convenient stores, a pharmacy, and small restaurants within a 5 min walk. Tulum and Xcaret parks are close by (20-30min drive). Chichenitza was a 2 hour drive. We drove on our own and felt safe always. Naty and Éric are great host and respond quickly to any questions you may have. Thank you for having us!! Casa Mia will definitely be our first choice when traveling to Playa del Carmen.

Vacation Oasis

Eric and Naty have a gem! Why go to the beach when you have a great pool right outside your door! The common area spaces could be tight if you are a larger group, but for the two of us it was just fine. The open air bar area upstairs was a nice place to hang out. If golf is part of your itinerary, there are three courses not far from the house. As our first VRBO experience, I have no complaints. Eric and Naty are very responsive when you contact them with a question. They were very helpful with our taxi questions. Fyi, if you will be visiting the Playa del Carmen area bring Pesos and familiarize yourself with the WhatsApp app.

3 Stars and a Wish

The property is exactly as pictured on VRBO. It was reasonably priced for our fifteen day stay and had very good access to the 307 hiway if renting a car for getting groceries and visiting other areas. There was a picturesque park outside the front gate for children to play and gated property access. Two convenience stores (7-11 and Oxxo ) were within walking distance. We were entertained by the antics of the occasional visit by coatis and the neighborhood bad boy cat whom we affectionately named Scrappy. The three stars are: 1. Eric (fellow Canadian property part owner ) Eric was very personable and helpful answering all questions and sharing info about the area. When we had problems, (and we did) he arrived within minutes to quickly rectify the situation. 2. The pool and back yard- a very well maintained good sized pool with pool cleaners and gardener arriving 3 times a week. Deck was tiled and enough area to house a patio table (sat six) with 3 lounge chairs. 3. The design of the house features a large open air palapa with a sectional couch , two chairs, hammock and large screen TV. A relaxing evening easily spent here. The wish (something to work towards) and (applicable to those who want to cook a few meals as dining out is expensive) would be for the property to have more kitchen amenities such as more pots, more bowls, measuring cups, dishes and kitchen dish cloths and kitchen tea (We noted this was mentioned in other reviews). Face cloths and hand towels were in limited supply. Perhaps, one set per person. We could only gather as a group at the outside patio table as kitchen design was for two chairs at the island thus having other members eat in the living room. Gathering at the outside patio for late evening dining was hampered by insects as is in most places.

Feels like home!

We enjoyed our time here very much. Any questions we had were promptly answered by Eric, who also gave us many tips on the area. The pool was excellent! The addition of a table inside, perhaps upstairs to play games at would be nice.

Beautiful home in a great, safe, area.

We spent the holidays with friends and family. We enjoyed the amenities - especially the roof-top patio / bar and swimming pool. Our only recommendations for the owners would be to include a few more dishes in the kitchen and the addition of a couple of bicycles to ride to the nearby Xcalacoco beach.

Fantastic spot for family vacation

Playa del Carmen Love

My kids were amazed at the amount of creatures that they saw including geckos cats and birds raccoons. It was so fun to be in the jungle. We could walk five minutes down the street to this amazing taco shop and had really really good food. Also recommend CoCo Cabana‘s at the end of the street it’s about 30 minute walk from the house that place is a little paradise. My 12-year-old loves swimming in the pool every day and the 15-year-old loved hanging out in the hammock upstairs. This place is a little gem

Perfect for families

We stayed here with our 4 kids and absolutely loved it. The pool was great, the outdoor areas were so nice to sit out on. Wifi worked perfectly and the ac's kept the house cool through out the day and night. Definitely will rebook when we come back to mexico.

I wish Casa Mia was mi casa!

The property is superb. The manager so very helpful and flexible and accommodating. The swimming pool is beautiful and relaxing. The upper deck perfect for morning yoga and afternoon snacks and cocktails. Our 13 yr old enjoyed the hammock for reading. We filmed and fed monkies they were very entertaining. The security at the gate was excellent checking us in every time and when we were in a tourist van he checked them in too. The neighbors were friendly. Would definitely recommend!

This is a GEM!

I booked this home based on other reviews, it was very helpful to know what to expect before heading to Playa Del Carmen. My family and I were torn between this home or an all-inclusive resort, we decided on the home because it gave us more space to spread out and more money to do adventures. The house is located in a gated community, so you will be living like a local (which was my favorite part of the trip), everyone in that community is friendly, including the front gate and the pool guy. The house is very large and the pool was perfect for my teenagers to play endless games of "Marco Polo." The TV has Netflix, youtube and other viewing options (teenagers loved it and had a Stranger Things viewing party). The house has plenty of space so we never felt like we were in each others space. There is a big grocery store about 5 minutes away (driving), a 7eleven and other convenient store 5 minutes (walking). We rented a car at Hertz and drove to several outings, including Isla Mujeres, Xcaret, Zenote Azul, Tulum, Explor, and several local beaches. Driving was easy and there is NO way you can get lost, since the highway is a straight road. Communicating with the homeowner or Pamela was very easy and I always got fast responses. I can't express enough my gratitude and appreciation for this home, it is a GEM! I felt at home and felt very safe, I was relaxed, and can't wait to book again.

Vacation Paradise!

Property was great for my husband and I. It’s located in a private gated community about 10 minutes drive from 5th ave in Playa del Carmen. You are within walking distance of 3 convenience stores and a few small restaurants. The check-in was easy. Pamela gave our name at the gate and then greeted us at the property with a bottle of wine for our stay and explained how everything worked. The pool was exactly as pictured and was maintained regularly by the pool guy. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the property and both the owner and Pamela were very responsive and sent the cleaning lady to help us get back in. ( note to visitors - the sliding glass door the the master bedroom automatically locks behind you as is customary in Mexico - we just did not know it at the time) Pamela meet us at check out to walk the property before leaving. She was on time and very gracious. We would absolutely stay here again!

Better than the Pictures

We loved staying at this property. It was comfortable enough for 6 people and an infant. There is enough space to have a quiet moment. The pool and outdoor area is wonderful- we spent the majority of our time in this area. The photos doesn’t do this property justice- it’s larger than it appears. Seating is available everywhere. The neighborhood is friendly and safe. We loved taking our child to the park to explore. We did have a couple of issues which the property manager was mostly able to resolve (the washing machine didn’t work and we were only advised to unplug it- but the outlet couldn’t be reached). I would recommend that they add a folder for guests with pertinent information (recommended restaurants, activities; how to use the washing machine; where the room keys are; etc) to reduce having to often contact the property manager.

Family Vacation

This was a perfect property for our Family. The pool was a hit and used every day even when we had spent the entire day at the beach. The linens and towels were really nice and the kitchen was stocked with everything to prepare food at the house! Highly recommend!
