Highly recommandable!

Beautiful historical villa with character. Fantastic view, nice and green garden and amazing pool. Nice and spacious rooms and bathrooms, everything clean and with the necessary food and drinks in the fridge and big bowls of fruit and vegetables for the first days. You feel welcome. We liked the isolated setting in the small village of Kondomari away from the touristic crowds, but still not far from the coast, beaches and coastal villages and Chania if you needed shops and restaurants. The newly opened Akakia restaurant 5 minutes walk from the villa is a jewel!

Idyllic stay

A wonderful property in a lovely village. Great communication and easy check in. Fantastic communal areas indoors and beautiful spaces outdoors. Fabulous pool. Interesting and authentic local area. Highly recommended.

Lovely villa

Beautiful villa with amazing views. Brilliant pool although most of it is very deep. Well kept gardens with plenty of sun loungers. Some of the drains need attention as they smell particularly the ones in the pool house. Kitchen needs updating as it lets the rest of the lovely villa down. Lots of groceries left for us which was much appreciated. Village has a great traditional restaurant with friendly staff. We had a great holiday and will return.

Brilliant Villa

Villa Antigoni is as amazing as its description indicates - spacey, extremely comfortable, good distance between bedrooms which offers adult privacy and minimises the risk of waking children from the patio, and a sensational pool! The support team were first class and we couldn't recommend the villa more highly.

Great stay

Villa and everything about the property is as you can see on photos. House is huge, 3 bedrooms, big living room, kitchen is on the small side but has everything. We didn't even go into the pool house but I believe people can sleep there as well. Terrace outside with the garden is really nice and spacious. Pool is fantastic and clean. Manolis (the manager) was great, he welcomed us at the house, gave us a few tips and was ready to help whenever needed. Location of the house is in a tiny village, it's surrounded with houses of local people but they keep to themselves and don't bother you with anything. Having a car is almost a must because the closest store is 5min drive away down the hill. All in all, great experience and we'll be coming back.

Lovely house with terrific view

3 generations of our family stayed at the villa and we all enjoyed it very much. The property owner left us a generous selection of fruit, juice and wine. The pool is excellent, our nearly 4 year old grandson’s swimming improved a lot during our stay. It’s a very spacious house with a lovely garden.

Ten Day Much Needed Family Holiday

This property is fantastic. The whole ten days exceeded our expectations and we could not believe our luck. Much of the holiday was spent just lounging around the pool and enjoying meals together at the villa. The manager Manolis was on hand if needed and his laid back, friendly manner added to the whole experience. I would definitely come back again with my family.

wonderful vacation

Our family (two adults and two children) enjoyed very much our stay at this villa. We rented a car and each day visited a different place (mostly beaches), some of them based on owner's recommendations, we really liked all the recommended tavernas and beaches. Every morning we made lemonade with the lemons from the lemon trees from the backyard, and local honey, such a delicious treat, our best lemonades ever! The owner is extremely nice and responsive. He left for us so many goodies to enjoy during our stay. Overall the perfect vacation, we'll be back.

Top Villa

Super Villa! Sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet! Wir haben uns die zwei Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt. Zur Begrüßung gab es jedemenge Obst und Gemüse! Der Kühlschrank wurde reichlich gefühlt, uns hat es die ersten Tage an nichts gefehlt! Der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt und auch die Villa wurde alle 4 Tage gereinigt und Bettwäsche ,sowie Handtücher gewechselt! Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen! Von uns bekommt sie in allen Bereichen 5 Sterne.. danke für die schöne Zeit

From check in to the day we left, everything was so well organised, the villa is stunning, fabulous pool and bbq areas, the managers were both amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area... sad to leave!!

A perfect oasis

Stay here if you want a beautiful oasis of your own to come back to after exciting and varied days out in Western Crete. This villa is a charming manor house featuring a spacious main sitting room with high ceilings and huge glass doors looking at the sea across olive groves. The extensive and carefully tended garden is amazing and a walk around the villa grounds takes you beneath lemon, pear,fig trees and grapevines. We were 6-8 adults using the main house and the "guest house" adjoining. We spent many happy hours on the dining terrace outside,with its large open "window" wall, perfectly framing the sunset and the mountains beyond. Both the manager and the owner were kind and exceptionally helpful and provided a generous range of foods and local specialities for us. We were also given great tips about where to go - secret beaches and interesting historical sites. And after the trips it is so wonderful to come back to the quiet garden, the roses and the perfectly sized, clean pool. Everyone was full of praise for this villa and enjoyed their time immensely.

Einfach nur Wunderschön mit wunderschönem Ausblick

Der Aufenthalt war ein Traum. Wir wurden zu Beginn herzlich empfangen und in der wunderschönen Villa standen Begrüßungsgeschenke, 2 Obstaschalen, Olivenoil, Kaffee, Gemüse, Eier und vieles mehr. Man musste so ziemlich gar nichts mehr einkaufen. Der vorhandene Haarfön war defekt. Direkt am nächsten Tag wurde uns ein nagelneuer Fön vorbeigebracht. Die Aussicht ist klasse und man hat Blick aufs Meer. Drumherum Olivenbäume und Orangenbäume. Die Villa liegt in einem ruhigen Dorf, somit ist eine Entspannung garantiert. Nach chania brauchte man nur 20 Minuten. Der Pool ist sehr schön und die Anlage ist sehr groß und sehr gepflegt. Um unser Wohl würde excellent gesorgt. Gastfreundlichkeit von Manos und Kostas stand ganz oben. Danke für alles. Wir werden wiederkommen!!

Wundervolles Haus, für Familien sehr gut geeignet

Wir sind 2 Familien mit Kindern zwischen 2 & 5 Jahren, haben 3 Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht und uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Der Pool sucht seinesgleichen und das Haus ist sowohl im Innen- als auch im Außenbereich sehr großzügig angelegt, so dass die Kinder viel Platz zum Spielen hatten. Es ist nicht das modernste eingerichtete Haus, aber sehr gemütlich, sauber und gut instandgehalten. Der Strand und die nächste Ortschaft (Maleme) sind schnell zu erreichen - ein Auto ist allerdings unbedingt erforderlich. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Une villa magnifique

La propriété est juste magnifique. On y a séjourné en été donc on a beaucoup plus profité des extérieurs de la maison qui sont vraiment bien fait. Barbecue, piscine adapté aux enfants, vue splendide, hamac, balancelle et au calme. Il faudrait peut être rajouter une table extérieur plus grande, car l'actuel est pour 4 personnes nous on été 4 donc ça allé mais pour des groupes plus grand s'est dommage, surtout que la terrasse est très grande. Les propriétaires nous ont à chaque fois répondu très rapidement quand nous avions des questions et sont très accueillants. Ils nous avaient envoyé par mail un petit guide de choses à faire dans les alentours très pratique. Par contre il faut forcement avoir une voiture car vous ne pouvez rien faire à pied. A proximité (en voiture) grand supermarché et nous sommes allés plusieurs fois sur Platanias qui a de bons restaurants. Et après pour les spots D'Élafonissi et Balos Beach il faut compter 1h15 au départ de la maison. On est resté 1 semaine là bas et pendant notre séjour le ménage a été fait donc très appréciable. Pour résumé : villa superbe et idéalement situé et propriétaires très sympa et disponible. Vous pouvez réserver sans problème.

Great Villa

We spent two weeks at this villa and have only good things to say about it. The contacts (manager and owner) were available, friendly and helpful, they met us on arrival to give us a tour and subsequently sent us details of their local recommendations. There was fresh fruit and juice waiting for us on arrival as well as coffee. The house is spacious and well laid out with plenty of features (coffee machine, dishwasher, big telly and so on) as well as a nice layout. The best feature is the outside though. The pool is excellent. The various seating areas offer shade or sun depending on the time of day. There are grass lawns and grapes growing over the walkways, outdoor cooking and beautifully framed views of the sea and the hills. The location is good for trips to Chania, Rethymno etc. and also the western beaches. I would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Peaceful and beautiful

We needed this holiday so much, so when we arrived, we were welcomed so kindly, and given so much help, it couldn’t have been better. But it did get better, because the pool was one of the best we have ever had at a villa. It is so well filtered and clean we were amazed. No having to net it twice a day to get rid of bugs, and it is so big. There is a small pool that is safe for babies and toddlers too that is attached. The main house is enormous, and the granny annex is excellent too. Its well equipped for cooking. Coffee machines, and different gadgets in the cupboards for making smoothies. Excellent fridge’s and freezers There is an Apple TV, and a very large telly. The house was cleaned and we had our beds changed twice, (it would have been three times it we had liked). Cant think of anything bad at all. Beautiful places to visit in the mountains, and the tavernas were delicious.

Sehr schönes Herrenhaus zum Wohlfühlen

Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie (6Erw. 2Kinder (3+6) ) für 12 Tage in der Unterkunft. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr, sehr schön. Der Besitzer legt sehr viel Wert darauf, dass man sich dort wohlfühlt. Man darf sich jederzeit bei ihm melden falls man Anliegen hat. Ein Bsp.: Die Matratzen waren anfangs so schlecht (man merkte jede Feder), dass ich bat uns neue zu besorgen. Das war gar kein Problem schon am nächsten Tag wurden die Neuen geliefert! Zur Begrüßung stand frisches Obst auf dem Tisch und Wein und Raki waren im Kühlschrank. Der Gärtner kommt alle 2,3 Tage reinigt den Pool und bringt den Garten in Ordnung. In den 12 Tagen war 2 mal eine Reinigungs - Crew da. Diese brachten frische Handtücher, bezog die Betten frisch und machte alles sauber. Die Reinigungs Crew kommt mit Vorankündigung (meist 1 Tag im Voraus) und braucht ca 2-3 std. Der Pool ist riesig und an der tiefsten Stelle sogar 3 m. Es gibt ein Kinderbecken, was natürlich perfekt für meine Nichte und meinen Neffen war. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Kontamari und wir empfehlen dieses Anwesen mit gutem Gewissen weiter!

Amazing family home full of character features at historic village with breathtaking views.

Less than 20’ from the dream pretty town of Chania, a magnificent 19th century villa wins you over with the owners’ attention to detail. Pristine, fully equipped kitchen, often cleaned swimming pool with kids’ section, comfy beds and pillows with crispy bedding , bbq that comes with charcoals and breathtaking views of the sunset make this property ideal for relaxing holidays for families or large groups. From its location on the hillside of the historic village Kontomari, to the exposed beams of the ceiling of the main house, from the grapes hanging from the patio to the jasmine perfuming the extra large veranda, the property offers a unique opportunity of submerging yourself in the myth that is Crete, a stone throw’s away from buzzing Platanias and all amenities.

Beautiful home and even better outside area

We spent a week at this property. They were very accommodating and let us check-in early at 11:30 am. Both the property owner and the property manager greeted us and showed us around. They had stocked the kitchen with snacks, fresh fruit and bottles of wine and also had fresh milk and juice in the fridge. The main house has an open space kitchen, dining and living room that overlooks a beautiful garden with a view of the sea in the background. On the ground floor there was a full bathroom and a huge master bedroom with a walk in closet. On the second floor was another master bedroom, a bedroom with 2 single beds and a half bath. There was a guest house that had a small living area (with single bed), a small kitchen, a master bedroom and a full bathroom (although the shower was not enclosed so we didn't use it or we would have flooded the whole bathroom). This property is perfect for 2 or 3 families. The outside pool area was incredible. You can eat right by the pool and there were 2 outside barbecue areas.This property is about an hour away from the very popular beaches. We really loved this villa. It would be perfect if they can find a way to add another enclosed shower to one of the bathrooms.
