Due to a late arrival and early family responsibilities, I checked in around 2:30 a.m. and checked out the same morning. At checkout, I briefly informed the front desk that I didn’t enjoy the stay. The staff member kindly asked what went wrong, but I had limited time and explained that I would follow up later — as I am now doing.
Here are the issues I encountered:
• Room Cleanliness: White debris was scattered across the carpet, and the bathroom curtain had visible pink and yellow discoloration, suggesting it had not been properly cleaned.
• Hygiene & Maintenance: I observed mold between window frames and along the ceiling line, chipped ceiling paint, adhesive marks on the wall, deteriorated flooring near the toilet, and stained carpet patches.
• Facilities & Presentation: The room lacked a microwave — a basic amenity now standard at many mid-tier hotels. Additionally, a countertop sign listed prices for towels, robes, and other items. While I understand it may refer to replacement costs, its presence gave the impression of mistrust and was more reflective of a low-tier operation than a five-star environment.
• Pest Concerns: A mosquito was present inside the room, which made the space feel unhygienic and uncomfortable.
• Odor & Bedding: The pillows had a noticeable unpleasant smell, making it difficult to rest comfortably.
• Safety & Security: The interior door lock was broken and could not be secured properly. For my family’s safety, I had to rely on the door frame l
