The desk clerk did inform you that all the upstairs rooms were occupied. So other than downstairs what other option is there? This is a small motel and we have limited upstairs rooms. I apologize if your needs of entitlement were not met at check-in. In the future please keep in mind that everybody should be treated with kindness.
